0:00in the past, and I know that you are being double safe now, and, Beck, we just are glad
0:08that you're doing as well as you are from your injury, and just pray for your continued
0:11safety.
0:13All right, real good.
0:14Jerry, 87ER, Beck just said that Nancy, we're praying for Nancy under his call sign that
0:23she's doing much better.
0:24She's the one who has cancer and getting, I think, chemotherapy, she has two more treatments
0:31to go, but she's doing much better, so that's a good report.
0:35That's a praise for Nancy under Beck, Alpha Alpha 5 Yankee, a copy?
0:40Sure, sir.
0:42And let's pray for Beck today that he'll be safe as he works under his truck today, a copy?
0:49I'll repeat that one, please.
0:51Yeah, Beck, Alpha Alpha 5 Yankee, is working under his truck today.
0:56Let's pray for his safety.
0:57Over.
0:59Thank you, Jerry.

3:34Everybody else is on there.
3:35He's been checked in.
3:37Phil, yep.
3:38Okay.
3:38I'm caught up on Utah.
3:40Looking over here at Half Moon Bay.
3:42Yep.
3:43We're caught up there.
3:44All right.
3:44Any other check-ins this morning?
3:46Please come now.
3:46All right.
4:14Our good friend Roger, WB-7VZL, has about 20 seconds to slip in under the wire here.
4:24Roger, are you there?
4:25I am, WB-7VZL.
4:28Good morning.
4:29All right.
4:29We lassoed you at the last second and drug you into the corral.
4:33How are you doing, brother?
4:33Well, I am just enjoying the after effects of having a warm bath.
4:41Thank you.
4:43Praise the Lord for that.
4:44You want to read the scripture for us today?
4:45You want to do 104 or 103?
4:51We're going to do 103 again.
4:53Jeff, AK-6OK, who hasn't checked in yet this morning, that rascal, asked that we would go
4:59over it again the second time today because he didn't think we'd finished it.
5:04So we're going to do 103 again.
5:07Jeff, AK-6OK, are you on the air?
5:09All right.
5:16Well, he's probably got things going.
5:18So, yeah, if you could read 103 for us again, that would be great.
5:22Roger.
5:24Okay.
5:24Any other check-ins to the West Coast Bible Study, please come now.
5:27All right.
5:39We are going to get started.
5:40We are in Psalm 103 today, and we're going to just look at that a second time.
5:45Lots in that psalm and lots to talk about there.
5:49So Jeff, AK-6OK, suggested that we go through it again today.
5:53So that's what we're doing.
5:56Any other check-ins before we get started?
5:59Please come now.
6:04All right.
6:05Let's get started.
6:06Before we do, we want to open our Bible study in prayer and ask God's blessing on our understanding
6:11and illumination of his word.
6:13And so, Kevin, KB7ZXN, if you could open a prayer for us today, that would be great.
6:17Go ahead, Kevin.
6:19Thank you, Max.
6:20Let us bow our heads in prayer.
6:21Father, our most gracious and loving Father, we do most humbly come before you this day.
6:27As we look into this psalm today and tomorrow, we reflect on your greatness, Lord, your love
6:34and provision and great mercy and grace upon your people.
6:39Father, we thank you for hearing each and every one of our prayers, ministering to each
6:44of our needs, Lord, and let us be faithful to you, Lord, turn us away from temptations
6:51that present itself.
6:53And let us be bold in proclaiming your great news.
6:56In Jesus' name we pray.
6:57Amen.
6:58Amen.
6:59Thank you for that, Kevin.
7:00Really appreciate that.
7:01All right, Roger, WB7Z, I'll go ahead and read Psalm 103 to us.
7:05I did introduce it yesterday.
7:07Let me just chat a minute about it.
7:09Psalm 103 is, as we said, the beginning of the Thanksgiving psalms, which continue on up
7:16to Psalm 107.
7:18So this section we're going to be in are our psalms of thanksgiving.
7:22And of course, they thank the Lord for various things.
7:25This one, thanks the Lord for his mercy and his grace.
7:31104, God's creation.
7:33105, God's providential care and his covenant.
7:36Faithfulness, 106, God's forgiveness and patience.
7:41And 107, God's goodness and wonderful work.
7:44So we're in this section of Thanksgiving psalms.
7:47And Psalm 103 is the outpouring of a thankful heart to God for his grace and compassion, both
7:53to David in particular, verses 1 to 5, and to Israel in general, in verses 6 through 18.
8:00So that's a little background.
8:02We did introduce this yesterday, so I'll not go back over all that material.
8:06But just an opportunity for us to reflect on God's goodness to us in his grace and in
8:14his mercy.
8:15All right.
8:16Any other?
8:18No, no other comments.
8:19No other check-ins.
8:20Roger, go ahead and read for us, please.
8:23WB7VZL, reading from the NASB.
8:30Bless the Lord, O my soul, and all that is within me.
8:36Bless his holy name.
8:38Bless the Lord, O my soul, and forget none of his benefits.
8:43Who pardons all our iniquities, who heals all your diseases, who redeems your life from
8:56the pit, who crowns you with loving kindness and compassion, who satisfies your years with
9:05good things, so that your youth, so that your youth is renewed like the eagle.
9:12Verse 6.
9:13The Lord performs righteous deeds, the judgment, for all who are oppressed.
9:20He made known his ways to Moses, his acts to the sons of Israel.
9:26The Lord is compassionate and gracious, slow to anger, and abounding in loving kindness.
9:34He will not always strive with us, nor will he keep his anger forever.
9:41He has not dealt with us according to our sins, nor rewarded us according to our iniquities.
9:49For as high as the heavens are above the earth, so great is his loving kindness toward those
9:57who fear him.
9:58As far as the east is from the west, so far has he removed our transgressions from us.
10:08Just as a father has compassion on his children, so the Lord has compassion on those who fear
10:15him.
10:16For he himself knows our frame.
10:20He is mindful that we are but dust.
10:25Verse 15.
10:26As for man, his days are like grass, as a flower of the field, so he flourishes.
10:34When the wind has passed over it, it is no more, and its place acknowledges it no longer.
10:43But the loving kindness of the Lord is from everlasting to everlasting to those who fear him,
10:50and his righteousness to the children's children, to those who keep his covenant, and who remember
10:59his precepts to do them.
11:02Verse 19.
11:04The Lord has established his throne in the heavens, and his sovereignty rules over all.
11:13Bless the Lord, you his angels, mighty in strength, who perform his word, obeying the voice of his word.
11:22Bless the Lord, all you his hosts.
11:25You who bless or serve him, doing his will.
11:29Bless the Lord, all you works of his, in all places of his dominion.
11:36Bless the Lord, O my soul.
11:40WB7VZL.
11:42Back to WB7MAX.
11:43Roger, great reading.
11:46Thank you for that.
11:47All right, any comments on Psalm 103?
11:50Please come now with your call, son.
11:53PWM.
11:54PWM, Brian, go ahead.
11:56I just want to throw this out there for the other people that do comment.
12:02I feel like when we go through this psalm, I'm seeing a lot of stuff that's the same as the new covenant.
12:08You know, when Jesus comes along and we're forgiven and that sort of thing.
12:12And, of course, this is before that.
12:15So, just commentary on how that works together is what I'd be interested to hear.
12:21Yeah, Brian, great comment and good observation.
12:25You know, the method of God's salvation and the results of God's salvation are the same.
12:33From Genesis chapter 3 to Revelation chapter 22.
12:37God has one method of salvation and that is repentance of sin and faith in the Messiah.
12:45For the Old Testament saints, it was faith in the promised Messiah that was coming.
12:52And for the New Testament saints, it's faith in the provided Messiah who has already come.
12:59So, the Old Testament saints were looking forward to that seed of the woman promised in Genesis 3.15.
13:04And so, they recognized that they needed to repent of their sins and put their faith in God's promised Messiah, of which all the animal sacrifices were a picture and a foreshadow.
13:18But the blood of bulls and goats could never take away sins.
13:20And so, the salvation was the same.
13:23There was the regeneration of the heart.
13:26There was justification, repentance and faith.
13:30All of those things.
13:31So, you're exactly right.
13:32The salvation that is described here in Psalm 103 is exactly the same salvation we have today.
13:39And that's why the parallels are there.
13:41And, you know, what's interesting, Brian, is if you look at verse 17 and 18, it says,
13:48But the mercy of the Lord is from everlasting to everlasting upon those who fear Him.
13:54So, from the beginning to the end, the mercy of the Lord is the same.
13:58Okay?
13:59From start to finish, everlasting to everlasting.
14:02And His righteousness unto children's children, His righteous dealings with us are the same generation after generation after generation.
14:10Now, here it is, verse 18.
14:13To such as keep His covenant, and to those that remember His commandments to do them.
14:18So, you know, the covenant that was made with Jesus and the disciples at the Last Supper there, the new covenant,
14:27that is the covenant that has saved people from the beginning to the end.
14:32It's the same salvation that Jesus provided on the cross.
14:36It was applied to Abel and everyone forward, and, of course, to us and everyone that comes after us that gets saved.
14:46So, that new covenant is the grounds of our salvation, and it is what we are trusting in for our salvation and the promises that are made in it.
14:55And, of course, the one who ratified it with His blood, which is the Lord Jesus.
14:59So, the covenant is repent of your sins, put faith in God's provided Messiah, and you'll be saved.
15:06And, of course, the outflow or the result of that covenant, last phrase of verse 18, we remember to keep His commandments to do them.
15:14So, faith always produces works as the outcome and outflow, both under the new covenant and under the Abrahamic covenant and the old covenant.
15:25So, yeah, the salvation is the same.
15:28All the blessings are the same.
15:31All the heart interactions are the same.
15:33All the deliverances are the same.
15:36So, Brian, thanks for pointing that out.
15:38Though we have many different covenantal administrations, we only have one salvation, and that salvation is the same from the beginning to the end, from everlasting to everlasting.
15:50Back to you there, Brian.
15:51Go ahead.
15:58Thank you.
15:59Yeah, that's exactly what I was looking for, and that makes a lot of sense.
16:05PWM.
16:06All right, real good.
16:06All right, WB7MX here, looking for further comments on our psalm.
16:11Please come now with your call sign.
16:13Alpha India 7, Quebec, Quebec.
16:15Alpha India 7, Quebec, Quebec.
16:17Dave, go ahead.
16:19Hey, Pastor Max, just like the salvation has always really been the message that they've always been okay,
16:25it's the heart of God and His desire.
16:29That's a good thing.
16:30Yeah, I think you can talk about that for me.
16:35Yeah, copy that.
16:36God's heart and God's desire has always been the same.
16:39It's a heart of compassion and mercy.
16:42You know, it says here in verse 8,
16:45The Lord is merciful and gracious, slow to anger, and plenteous in mercy.
16:50Verse 10, He's not dealt with us after our sins or rewarded us according to our iniquities.
16:56Verse 11,
16:57For as the heaven is high above the earth, so great is His mercy toward them that fear Him.
17:01Verse 13,
17:03Like as a father pities his children, so the Lord pities them that fears Him.
17:08And so what we see, as you well said there, Dave, is the heart of God.
17:15And the heart of God is one of compassion.
17:17It's one of mercy.
17:18It's one of kindness.
17:19It's one of forgiveness.
17:21And, you know, you hear that heart in the statement of Jesus when He says,
17:26Come unto me, all ye that labor and are heavy laden.
17:29I'll give you rest.
17:30And take my yoke upon you and learn of me, for I am meek and lowly of heart, and you will find rest for your souls.
17:36So, in this psalm, we see who God is.
17:42We see how God functions.
17:44We see God's attitude.
17:46You know, peace on earth, goodwill towards men.
17:48And so He has goodwill toward us.
17:51And He just calls upon us to repent and receive Christ as Savior, follow Him as Lord.
17:59And we will know His fatherly care, His kindness, and His patience, and His compassion.
18:07So, yes, there's an awful lot in here about the heart of God.
18:11And we do well to remember that and not think of God as someone who's really pretty unhappy with us.
18:18That's not the case.
18:20God is delighted in us because He sees His Son being formed in us.
18:25And as a result, He's pleased with the restoration of the image of God from the fall that Jesus is accomplishing and will perfect in the resurrection.
18:39Back to you there, Dave, AI7QQ.
18:43That's good, man.
18:43You nailed it.
18:44Perfect.
18:45Thank you.
18:46All right.
18:46Praise the Lord, Dave.
18:47Good insight there.
18:49All right.
18:49Any other comments?
18:50Please come now.
18:53Five Yankees.
18:54Five Yankees.
18:55Back, please go ahead.
18:57Yeah.
18:57This might be one of those no-duh moments, but I just feel it, and I'm going to say it.
19:03Verse 11.
19:04For as the heavens are high above the earth, it's so great is His mercy towards those who fear Him.
19:09And 12.
19:10As far as the east is from the west, so far has He removed our transgressions from us.
19:17I read that, and I think about God's love and mercy.
19:23And I'm constantly reminded on this net how much He loves us and how His word is unchanging because God doesn't lie.
19:31And these thousands of years have passed since Christ has been here.
19:35And one of the promises God made to us is that He'd never flood the earth.
19:39And even though the scientists say that the axis has changed on the earth, which I do believe because of the weather changes,
19:47one thing hasn't changed that I recognize, and that is that the sun still rises in the east and sits in the west.
19:53And I believe that God is going to keep His word with us.
19:59And basically, that's all I'm saying.
20:02I'll bow for five Yankees.
20:05Zach, that was a wonderful thing to say.
20:07Thank you for that.
20:09And you're exactly right.
20:10God keeps His promises.
20:11You know, I really appreciate you pointing out the connection between verse 11 and verse 12.
20:16It says, for the heaven is high above the earth.
20:19That's a vertical distance, isn't it?
20:22And then verse 12, as far as the east is from the west, that's a horizontal distance.
20:27So whatever direction you want to go, you want to go up and down, you want to go right and left,
20:32God has a declaration that that's how far He's removed our iniquities from us.
20:41That's how great His mercy is toward us.
20:45And so really, what's being said in verses 11 and 12 is that whatever direction you want to look,
20:51you're never going to find your sins.
20:53That's how far away they have been put from us by the saving work of Jesus Christ.
21:00When He atoned for our sins, He obliterated them.
21:05They're not to be found.
21:06They will never be held against us again.
21:10And so we have redemption through His blood.
21:12The forgiveness of sins according to the riches of His grace, as it says in Ephesians 1 and verse 7.
21:19And so the good news is that when you show up on the day of judgment, no sin will be found on your record.
21:26And what will be found on your record is the obedience of Jesus Christ,
21:31because His righteousness is imputed to us, as it says in Romans chapter 5 and in other passages as well.
21:39So we're given the gift of righteousness.
21:42All of our sins have been placed on Christ and obliterated by Him on the cross.
21:46He took them out of the way, it says in Colossians.
21:49And so that's the good news of the gospel.
21:52So thank you for pointing out that connection of what God has done with our sins.
21:59As far as you can go vertically, He's taken them further away than that.
22:02As far as you can go horizontally, He's taken them further away than that.
22:06And He keeps His promises.
22:08And you can take those promises to the bank, because as it says in Titus 1 and verse 2, God cannot lie.
22:16And so what He said, He will achieve, and we can rely on that.
22:21All right, that great comment and observation.
22:23Thank you for that.
22:24All right, any other comments?
22:25Please come down.
22:26Okay, we had a double there.
22:29First we'll go with, I don't know, Will, KM5F, and then we'll get over to Jerry.
22:34Will, please go ahead.
22:35Yeah, a quick summary of verse 11 and 12 is that God's love is infinite, KM5F.
22:41Yeah, God's love is infinite.
22:43That's correct.
22:44And that's what's being communicated there.
22:46We're just using visual imagery to try to convey the idea of infinitude.
22:51And he grabbed the biggest thing he could possibly find to try to picture for us God's infinitude.
22:59And you're exactly right, Will.
23:00God's love is infinite.
23:02All right, over to you, Jerry, KG6J.
23:04Go ahead.
23:05Thank you, Pastor Max, KG6J.
23:07So, after verses 11 and 12, where how far and how deep I see in verse 17, he relates this to time.
23:16How long?
23:18So, his mercy is from everlasting to everlasting.
23:22Would I be wrong if I interpret that to before time began to after time ends?
23:28Back to you, Pastor Max.
23:30Yeah, you would be correct in that.
23:32And thank you for pointing out that additional dimension.
23:35Okay, so we've got the vertical dimension in verse 11.
23:39We've got the horizontal dimension in verse 12.
23:41And then we've got the time dimension in verse 17.
23:45And once again, we're dealing with infinitude, like Will KM5F said.
23:50Everlasting to everlasting.
23:52East and the west.
23:54High as the heavens go.
23:56We know no edge or end to the universe.
23:58So, yes, God is saying, I've completed the task.
24:05And no part of it is left unfinished.
24:08And you don't ever have to worry about that negative outcome.
24:13So, yes, from everlasting to everlasting, God planned our salvation.
24:18It says in Ephesians 1.4, before the foundation of the world.
24:22And, of course, how long is that salvation going to go on?
24:26It's eternal life, right?
24:27That word eternal tells you how long.
24:29It goes on forever without end.
24:32So, yes, from everlasting to everlasting.
24:35From eternity past, as far as you can see, God planned our salvation.
24:39From eternity future, as far as you can go, that salvation will continue to be good.
24:44And we will continue to experience it.
24:46So, you know, the greatness of God is really set before us in this passage.
24:55Great comments.
24:56Really appreciate those.
24:57All right.
24:58Any other comments?
24:58Please come now.
25:00Five Yankees.
25:01Five Yankees.
25:01Go ahead.
25:02John 3.16, everlasting life.
25:06Amen.
25:06Well said.
25:07God so loved the world, he gave his only begotten son, that whoever believes in him should not perish, but have what?
25:13Everlasting life.
25:14And over and over again, that word everlasting or eternal is used.
25:21So, Beck, thanks for pointing out that parallel passage, that absolute promise, and that unconditional and endless application of faith in Jesus to our eternal life.
25:34All right.
25:34Other comments?
25:35Please come now.
25:35All right.
25:44Thanks to whoever brought up roof 17, I missed that.
25:48That was a very important part to add.
25:51Yeah, that was Jerry, TG-6J.
25:53All right.
25:54Any other comments on our passage?
25:57Please come now.
26:04WB7VZL.
26:05Roger, please go ahead.
26:07Well, this is a personal experience that I had with this psalm.
26:15It was used in the pastor that basically housed the beginnings of our, in his church, Pastor Bud Roberts here in College Place.
26:27He chose to house the local TV station development back in the late, well, it was in the late 80s.
26:37And his, this psalm was the one he chose for his wife's passing away, Ruthie.
26:48And the poignancy of this psalm in the context of grief and loss, too early to die, one of those cases of cancer.
27:00And so I've always, always had a high regard for this because oftentimes these psalms are burned into our memory and consciousness in the context of suffering.
27:15And, in this case, grief and loss and empathy for, for Pastor Bud.
27:23So, anyway, that's, whenever I hear 103, there is a, a very special emotional memory and respect for this psalm.
27:33And, uh, so I suppose a number of you also have that respect for this psalm or others in your life as we suffer the results of sin.
27:44And, uh, I look forward to that great, great privilege of joining these, these angels and all his creation.
27:54I'm thinking of verses 19 through the end.
27:59All the hosts doing his will and, uh, what we're really created for.
28:05Bless the Lord, all you works of his.
28:09That's, that's, that's, that's Roger.
28:11That's all of us.
28:12WB7 of Isidale.
28:14Yeah, amen.
28:16And, you know, um, as scripture passages are tied to experiences and circumstances and places in our lives, um, you know, they become permanent, uh, markers, if you will, uh, that we look back on and that we really cling to.
28:32Uh, I remember, uh, the first time I read this psalm, uh, I've probably been a Christian for, oh, maybe two years, something like that.
28:41Uh, and, uh, and, uh, and, uh, and just being overwhelmed with, um, the goodness of God, uh, that is listed here, uh, not only what he's done for me individually, but what he's done for my brothers and sisters in Christ corporately.
28:56Uh, and then, uh, and then, as you well said, you know, the angels here at the end are exhorted to join in, uh, the worship and praise of God.
29:04Um, and so, uh, wherever you turn, whether it's to you, whether it's to others, whether it's to angels, God has been good, merciful, kind, patient, uh, loving, generous.
29:17Um, and so, as we reflect on what this psalm teaches us about God, it just causes us to worship.
29:27It causes us to be filled with peace and joy and confidence, uh, and optimism about the future.
29:37And so, yeah, Roger, thanks for that, um, how this psalm was tied to your friend and how that the psalm and the friend now are indissoluble.
29:47A memory is in your mind as you think about who he was and how he operated and, and, and how God dealt with him.
29:56Um, and so, thank you for sharing that.
29:59All right, any other comments?
30:01Please come now.
30:02Alpha India 7, Quebec, Quebec.
30:04All right, Alpha India 7, Quebec, Quebec.
30:06Go ahead there, Dave.
30:08I just wanted to comment, uh, this is something our pastor has been talking about recently.
30:11You know, the mercy of the Lord, verse 17, is from age to age upon those who fear him.
30:17And his righteousness upon children's children, verse 18, to such as keep his covenant and remember his commandments to do them.
30:27And, uh, we know that nothing shall separate us from the love of God, but he also says that all things work together for good to those who love him and to those who are called according to his purpose.
30:40And so the, the, the love is there and the mercy is there, but it doesn't really activate until we respond in faith and obey him.
30:48Uh, Dave, you're exactly right.
30:52Thank you for making that comment.
30:53Um, you know, the, the blessings that are mentioned in this psalm are not for humanity in general.
31:00They're for believers in particular.
31:02Uh, and, uh, what Dave is pointing out here is that in verse 17, it says the mercy of the Lord is from everlasting to everlasting upon a particular category of people and not all people in general.
31:16It's for those who fear him.
31:18Uh, verse 18, it's for those who keep his covenant.
31:21Verse 18, it's for those who remember his commandments to do them.
31:25And, uh, what Dave was pointing out is, uh, is, uh, Romans 8, 28, uh, all things work together for good to those who love the Lord.
31:35And for people who hate the Lord, things don't work out together for good for them.
31:40Uh, they know nothing of God's mercy and God's grace.
31:43Uh, the only thing that is extended to them is an open invitation to repent, uh, and to believe and to flee from the wrath to come.
31:52Um, and so, um, you know, the Bible does extend that whosoever will, uh, but then there's a condition attached, and that is we've got to believe, uh, in the Lord Jesus.
32:04And so the promises of this psalm, as Dave rightly points out, apply to believers and to believers only.
32:11And how do we know who the believers are?
32:13Well, they fear God.
32:15That they have a reverence for God, uh, in that he is their, uh, focus of their life, and their greatest joy is to, uh, have his smile, and their greatest dread is to receive his frown.
32:30And so they live and walk in the, in light of the eye of God upon them, and their lives are oriented towards, uh, pleasing him and, uh, living by every word that proceeds out of the mouth of God.
32:43Uh, that's what it means to fear God.
32:46It's to recognize his ultimate authority and bow before that and live in light of that and walk according to that.
32:52And then, you know, to keep his covenant.
32:55And what is his covenant?
32:56It's the new covenant that if we repent and believe in Jesus as Lord and Savior, uh, we'll be saved.
33:03Uh, whoever shall confess with their mouth of the Lord Jesus and believe in our heart that God has raised him from the dead, uh, he shall be saved.
33:12And so, um, and then, of course, it says, as such as keep his commandments.
33:18Uh, yes, we're saved by grace through faith.
33:20It's not of ourselves.
33:21It's a gift of God.
33:22It's not of works.
33:23The sinny man should boast.
33:24But we are his workmanship created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God has before ordained that we should walk in them.
33:33And so, while good works are denied as the basis of salvation, they are demanded as the outflow and the outcome of salvation.
33:41And that's how you know someone is genuinely saved.
33:43It's not just that they've said, oh, I believe.
33:45But that belief has impacted their life and behavior so that their whole orientation is that of Saul of Tarsus.
33:52Lord, what will thou have me to do?
33:54It's the orientation of Jesus.
33:56Not my will, but thine be done.
33:58And so, our desire, then, is to be servants of the one who saved us.
34:05And so, for those with that mindset and disposition, as Dave said, these promises in this psalm are for them.
34:15So, Dave, great observation there.
34:17Thank you for bringing that out.
34:19All right.
34:19Any other comments on our text?
34:21Please come now.
34:22Thank you.
34:23Thank you.
34:24Thank you.
34:26Thank you.
34:28K-M-5-S.
34:32I will.
34:32K-M-5-S.
34:33Please go ahead.
34:35Yeah.
34:35I found another word that would summarize God's love in existence in verse 17.
34:46And that would be where it says from eternity to eternity.
34:51So, that would be eternal.
34:54I forgot the other word now.
34:56K-M-5-S.
34:56Okay.
34:58So, eternal life, I think that's what you said, Will.
35:01So, you're talking about infinity, and then you're talking about eternality, everlasting to everlasting.
35:07Did I copy that correctly, Oliver?
35:09Correct.
35:09Okay.
35:10I can't believe it.
35:11Yeah.
35:11Copy that.
35:11Okay.
35:12Good.
35:12So, eternality as well as infinity.
35:15Um, so, yes.
35:17Um, those words are parallel in that they convey the idea of no limits is the idea.
35:24Um, I remember there used to be a TV program or something called Outer Limits.
35:29Well, God doesn't have outer limits.
35:31He has no limits.
35:33And so, praise the Lord for those no limits.
35:37Now, don't go running off thinking about some outer limits program, okay?
35:41Let's stay focused here.
35:42All right.
35:44Psalm 103.
35:46Any other comments?
35:47Please come now.
35:51WB7, Visa, L.
35:53Roger, go ahead.
35:54I was just looking at 17.
35:56Thank you for highlighting these, uh, to all the hams that are commenting, uh, and verse
36:0218, and the privilege of passing on to our children.
36:07You know, love is a memory, and I think we have the evidence of that for sure.
36:13Love is a memory, and so, it's, uh, from everlasting to those who fear him, the discussion about who
36:24is this psalm talking about, the everlasting to everlasting on those who fear him, and his
36:31righteousness to children's children, to those who keep his covenant, and who remember his
36:41precepts to do them.
36:43I'm thinking about the attempts, uh, of, of the, uh, generations to pass on the baton to
36:50the next generation, and to teach one's children, and like in Deuteronomy chapter 8, I believe
36:57it is, and it's, uh, putting, putting scripture passages and promises on various indicators
37:08as one, one sees them as they walk and as they talk.
37:14So, it's, it's, it's a memory, uh, aspect.
37:18So, uh, don't forget WB7VZL.
37:23All right, real good, Roger.
37:26Yes, don't forget.
37:27And, and, and that's what we're exhorted to do right there, uh, in verse, um, 2, right?
37:34It says,
37:35Bless the Lord, O my soul, and forget not all his benefits.
37:40And, you know, uh, forgetting is something that we have a problem with, and it's something
37:46that the scriptures repeatedly address.
37:50Um, uh, in Deuteronomy chapter 6, verses 10 to 12, it says this,
37:56And it shall be when the Lord thy God shall have brought thee into the land which he swore
38:02unto thy fathers, to Abraham, to Isaac, and to Jacob, to give thee great and goodly cities
38:07which thou buildest not, and houses full of good things which thou fillest not, and wells
38:11digged with thou diggest not, vineyards and olive trees which thou planted not, when thou
38:16shalt have eaten and be full, now here it is, Deuteronomy 6, 12, then beware lest thou
38:23forget the Lord which brought thee forth out of the land of Egypt and from the house of
38:28bondage.
38:30And, you know, over and over again, we're told, don't forget, don't forget, don't forget,
38:35because it's really easy for us to stop thinking about, stop reflecting on, and stop remembering
38:43all the goodness that God has shown to us, all the blessings he's brought into our lives,
38:48and to then think, okay, I got this by my own hand, and my own work and labor produced all
38:56of this.
38:56Aren't I wonderful?
38:58And we started getting puffed up with pride, right?
39:00And so, Roger, thanks for pointing that out, the fact that this is an intergenerational
39:07message.
39:08We have to communicate this to our children, to our grandchildren, and as many generations
39:13as is possible, to remind them, okay, this is who God is.
39:20This is what God has done.
39:22Let's give him praise and worship and renew our faith in him and our following of him,
39:30our humility before him, and our gratitude.
39:34So, the psalmist is telling himself, remember.
39:38And so that's one reason why we, you know, have the Lord's Supper, right?
39:43Jesus says, do this in remembrance of me.
39:45Why would he institute a ceremony of remembrance?
39:48Well, because he knows how easy it is that we forget, right?
39:50And so, that's why we read our Bibles every day.
39:55That's why I have the West Coast Bible Study every day, is because we want to be reminded
40:01of who God is and who we are in relationship to him and what he's done for us.
40:07So, let's remember.
40:09Let's urge others to remember.
40:10Let's pass it along to the next generation so that they, too, can remember what God has
40:16done.
40:16Roger, great comment.
40:17Thank you for that.
40:18All right.
40:19Any other comments?
40:19Please come now.
40:20And I was reading last night, KI6WXP, the second part of verse 5, so that thy youth is renewed
40:31like the eagle.
40:33If you slow down and read that verse, it's kind of powerful.
40:37You know, Joe, it really is.
40:39It's very powerful.
40:40And, you know, the parallel passage to that is in Isaiah 40 and verse 31, where it says,
40:49They who wait upon the Lord will renew their strength.
40:51They will mount up with wings as eagles.
40:54They shall run and not be weary.
40:57They shall walk and shall not faint.
40:59And so, when you think about God and the way he sustained us, you know, after six or seven or eight decades of life, you look back and you go, you know, God has sustained me all these years with strength and with ability and with energy.
41:19He has fed me to renew my strength.
41:23You know, verse 5, satisfies thy mouth with good things.
41:26That's our food.
41:28And what happens when you eat?
41:29Well, you regain your strength.
41:31And so, God uses food to heal our bodies, to energize our bodies, and to enable us to continue to go on in life and in serving him.
41:40Back to you there, Joe, K-I-6-W-X-P.
41:44Yes, sir.
41:45What caused me to keep reading that over and over was the eagle.
41:48I'm going, why would they pick an eagle?
41:51I mean, I got to doing some research on it and things like that.
41:54Well, that's a pretty good bird to pick, to be renewing our strength like that, you know, when we're worn down.
42:03Well, you know, amen.
42:04And, you know, the eagle is one who soars effortlessly through the air.
42:10You know, when you look up and you see them circling and, you know, they're not even flapping their wings.
42:15And it's like they're just full of strength and energy, and they're living, as it were, moving easily through the atmosphere with no effort or any kind of frantic activity.
42:29It's just a symbol of strength is what it is.
42:33And I think that's the reason why we chose the eagle for our national symbol.
42:37It's a symbol of strength.
42:39And so when he says your youth is renewed like the eagles, he's just simply saying, you know, I carry you through this life and give you all that you need in order to soar above the world and to have your needs met and to ultimately be heavenly oriented.
43:01Joe, thanks for that.
43:03KI6WXP.
43:04All right.
43:05Any other comments?
43:06Please come now.
43:09KG6J.
43:12KG6J.
43:12Go ahead.
43:14Okay.
43:15So I'm going to stick my neck out here and go off memory without scripture references.
43:22And hopefully you can fill in the blanks for me or correct me.
43:27God knows the weaknesses of his people, both in old times with his children in Israel and with us today.
43:38And one of the tools he used back then, and this is the story, when the priest carried the Ark of the Covenant across the river that the Lord backed up.
43:49After they got to the other side, they built two monuments, one in the river and one on the bank.
43:55One for God down in the river.
43:57Only God could see it after the river rise to back up.
44:02But the one on the bank, that was for everyone to remember what he did there.
44:07So they wouldn't forget.
44:08But they do forget, and so do we.
44:10And so now relating this today for us, we're coming into the time of Thanksgiving.
44:17And one of the things that helps me is to remind myself of all the things that God has done in my life.
44:25The times I should.
44:26You know, I've heard people talk about the times I should have died.
44:29The time I should have gone to jail.
44:31And I've got to live.
44:31But that's my comment, and correct me as needed.
44:36Back to you, Pastor Max, KG6J.
44:39Yeah, your memory is perfect there, and your representation is accurate.
44:42No correction needed.
44:44You know, what you see throughout the Bible is people, as it were, setting up monuments of remembrance, right?
44:52So they had altars, there was an Ebenezer, Jacob set up some stones, you know, in various places, various monuments were made to remind the children of Israel of the blessings of God or of the great works of God of some kind or the other.
45:12And, of course, we have a ceremony of remembrance as well.
45:16It's called the Lord's Supper.
45:17And we go back to that, some of us every week, some of us once a month.
45:22But there's a frequent need to remember, reflect, and go back.
45:28And so, you know, that's one reason why we have church every week.
45:34That's why we have Bible study every day.
45:36What are these?
45:37Well, among other things, they're times of remembrance.
45:41So, yes, we have Thanksgiving, a national day of remembrance that our founding fathers recognized,
45:47that we needed to give thanks to God for our deliverance from oppressive powers,
45:54and that we now had liberty and self-government, and also for the blessings that came upon the land.
46:02You know, the founding fathers there had some tough winters, and they had a good harvest.
46:08And so it was like time to invite the neighbors and to enjoy a fellowship together.
46:15So there's a rich history of having places and times to remember.
46:24And that's why we have Fourth of July, to remember our nation's independence.
46:29That's why we have Christmas and Easter, to remember the birth of Christ and the resurrection of Christ.
46:34So, yes, times of remembrance, place of remembrance, objects of remembrance, those are all wonderful things.
46:43That's why we've got photograph albums, right?
46:45So that's why this exhortation to remember in verse 2, don't forget the benefits.
46:54And then he starts listing them.
46:56And there's a wonderful list there that could be discussed for a long time.
47:00So, Jerry, thank you for pointing out those monuments of remembrance that occur pretty frequently all throughout the Old Testament.
47:09The feast days were all days of remembrance.
47:12So remembering is something we need to do because we forget so easily.
47:17All right, before we go on any further, the net would like to acknowledge Dave, K-E-7-W-K-I.
47:23Dave, see you there on the Utah SDR.
47:25And also, Carol, K-K-7-TPO, Carol, see you there as well.
47:30I appreciate you being there.

48:11I forgot to watch the clock.
48:13We are like three minutes over.
48:15I try to stop at 640.
48:18So let's go to prayer now.
48:20Wonderful psalm.
48:21Tomorrow we're going to do Psalm 104, and so that is a psalm of praise for God's creation.
48:30So we're going to revisit the hand grenade in Brian KJH7 PWM's office.
48:38If you didn't hear that, we'll talk about that tomorrow.
48:42But thanksgiving for God's creation tomorrow in Psalm 104.

56:14Really appreciate that.
56:15This is WB7MX, NetControl for the West Coast Bible Study.
56:19I want to thank all the stations who checked in this morning and those who stood by to give us a clear operating frequency.
56:24We meet here seven days a week at 6 a.m. in order to read the scriptures, understand their meaning, message, and application to our lives, and then pray for grace and mercy to be able to live out what we have learned and also for God to meet the needs of those that are in our circle of fellowship.
56:42I'll be returning this frequency now to regular amateur use.
56:46This is WB7MX.
56:48I'll be clear and standing by.
56:55Alpha Alpha 5 Yankee with this one-inch joke.
56:57Alpha Alpha 5 Yankee.
56:58What has to be broken before you can use it?
57:04What has to be broken before you can use it?
57:07I would say a horse.
57:08Over.
57:09A horse?
57:12Yeah, you've got to break a horse before you can use it, otherwise you get bucked off, right?
57:17Yeah.
57:18Oh, okay.
57:19Anybody else?
57:26Okay, how about an egg?
57:28Okay, good.
57:30You have to break an egg before you can use it.
57:33That's good, Beck.
57:34Appreciate that.
57:35All right, WB7MX here in conversation with Beck Alpha Alpha 5 Yankee.
57:40Anybody else want to chat?
57:42Throw in your call sign.
57:58KG6J.
57:59Jerry, KG6J, go ahead.
58:01Yeah, I didn't relate it very well at the end of that last share.
58:06Sorry I ran us over, but I have back to it so many times, and I face challenges today.
58:13So, to me, it's just important to be reminded of everything he's done.
58:19Things I can remember, even from childhood, that we certainly don't have time to go into now,
58:28but just stuff that I can't even explain as a rational adult, and things like that.
58:35So, those monuments, to me, are important.
58:39And I'm encouraged, because I know the children of Israel were very quick to forget.
58:44And, my God, there's monuments all over the place.
58:47So, that's why I have to remember everything he's done, or less I flip back.
58:57Yeah, amen.
59:00Well said.
59:01And, yeah, no worries about the time.
59:03That's not your responsibility.
59:04That's mine.
59:06And we have flexibility.
59:08You know, it's not like three minutes is going to make us or break us one way or the other.
59:12Except on Sundays, where we have the vintage military radio network.
59:15I'm real scrupulous about the time there.
59:18But, yeah, it's all good, because we take time to talk afterward, right?
59:23It's no big deal.
59:24Jerry, you know, what might be useful for you is just to sit down sometime and write a list of all of those things that you remember,
59:34that God did in your life, for which you want to return, remember, reflect, and offer thanks once again.
59:42But, you know, I have some lists hanging around that from time to time I go back over them and I think,
59:50Wow, I'd almost forgotten about that thing that God did or that person that God brought into my life to accomplish one thing or another.
60:02So, you know, that's one reason why we have a Bible that's written down.
60:07Because if it wasn't, you know, how long would we remember what we have read in the Bible?
60:13And that's why I've got to go back and read it over and over and over again to remind ourselves again and again.
60:18Because, unfortunately, we don't have photographic memories that keep that information available for a lifetime.
60:30So, yeah, monuments of remembrance, lists of remembrance.
60:35We have a Bible that's been written to help us remember.
60:40Those are all important things.
60:42Back to you there, Jerry.
60:44Roger, roger.
60:45And that's, I haven't made a physical list as suggested, and that's a great one.
60:52But mentally, I try and remember these things here recently.
60:56You know, remember this, remember that.
60:58And as I hear stories here on our own net, people relating stories where God showed himself wrong for them.
61:05And I have a similar story, not exactly the same, but it reminds me of something that happened to me.
61:12And one more thing about that.
61:16We call it a story, but it's history.
61:18And no, it's answer.
61:20But when those priests stepped into the river, God had not stopped up the river yet.
61:27So, for those of us facing challenges, sometimes God keeps the challenge big, and we have to step out in faith like the priests did.
61:37When they stepped out into the river, that's when God backed up the river for them.
61:42But they had to step out in faith, and so I have to be reminded of that.
61:46Okay, I promise you, get to work, but I'll keep it on to see if anybody else is talking with you,
61:53because I just find this diamond of what I learned here and today was a great thing to repeat.
62:00There were more diamonds to pull out of the work.
62:02So, wishing you, in fact, and anyone else listening, a blessed day.
62:07KG 6J, I'll be listening to Kevin 3.
62:11All right, Jerry, KG 6J.
62:13I just got a text message from Eric, KG 7ES, and that story you're talking about is in Joshua Chapter 4.
62:20So, Joshua Chapter 4, if you want to just read that over,
62:24that tells the story about the stones in the altar of remembrance when they crossed the Jordan River.
62:31And you're right, you know, God often calls us to step out in faith while the problem is still there.
62:38He doesn't solve the problem, and then we step out, and then he solves the problem.
62:44And that's like when I preach, right?
62:47It's like God meets me after I open my mouth and start talking.
62:51It's not like it happened beforehand.
62:56And so, you know, praise the Lord for this example of the children of Israel actually walking out into the water.
63:05And once they stepped out in faith, then God stopped up the river and they were able to cross over.
63:10So, yep, we've got to trust God's promises.
63:13We've got to act on them as though they're true because they are.
63:17And then when we do, we see that, indeed, he keeps his promises.
63:22So, yeah, Jerry, look over Joshua Chapter 4.
63:26That was sent to me by Eric KD70S.
63:29All right, any other comments throughout your call sign?
63:32We're happy to chat.
63:33Thank you for making it easy to learn with the way you spread the word, Max.
63:42I appreciate it.
63:43K-I-6-W-X-T.
63:46All right, Joe, real good.
63:47I'm glad it's helpful to you, and I'm glad that you're learning.
63:49That's wonderful.
63:51And to God be the glory.
63:52Anything I can say, he gave it to me.
63:55So, praise goes to him for that.
63:57So, Joe, thank you for the encouragement and the affirmation.
64:01Hopefully, you'll just have a blessed day today, and God will be there to meet your needs and fill you with his strength.
64:09Like the eagle.
64:10All right, go ahead there, Joe.
64:13Yeah, very good.
64:14The first dog I'm going to wash this morning with the wife, I'm filling in for a baby.
64:18I sneak in there once in a while and take a bath with the dogs.
64:22I'm going to need to be cooled off.
64:24It's going to be hot around here, and that dog's a shaker.
64:28So, I'm going to be taking me a bath this morning.
64:30Roger?
64:30Been there, done that.
64:34Yeah, when you bathe a dog, you get a bath, too, and they start shaking off.
64:38It just goes wild.
64:41Yep, we used to have beagles.
64:43They didn't have as long a hair, but they sure could shake it off.
