0:00You want to read Psalm 104 for us today, over?
0:04Oh, you betcha. Thank you so much.
0:08All right, it's a long one. It's 35 verses, but I know you'll do fine on that.
0:13So if you could read Psalm 104 for us, Beck, we would appreciate that.
0:17All right, we've got Beck Alfalfa 5 Yankee checked in.
0:21Any other check-ins? Please come down.
0:24W7RKD checking in for my daily bread.
0:26And there's Bert, W7RKD. Go ahead there, Bert. How are you doing?
0:32Oh, good morning.
0:33Good morning.
0:35Eight hours of sleep, Max. Eight hours.
0:39That's the second night in a row. This is wonderful.
0:43Now, Beck was saying, why do you think that you're hitting eight hours?
0:46You know I'm an insomniac, so I think it's the mountain, fresh mountain air,
0:51and a log deck and a chainsaw.
0:54Now, it's been my activities lately.
0:58So with that, we're bussed over here as usual.
1:01Our socks are bussed off. Beautiful weather.
1:03Rain is on the way, and I'm here for my daily man.
1:07I need some, and I need another meal around here.
1:11I've got a lot going on.
1:13But I hope everybody else has a bus day, Max.
1:15I'll just be listening.
1:16All right, real good, Bert.
1:20Good to have you here.
1:22And, yes, there's nothing like an honest day's hard manual labor to make a man sleep at night.
1:28I think it says in the Bible that the sleep of the laboring man is sweet.
1:32That's a Bible verse somewhere.
1:35Probably in Proverbs.
1:36The sleep of a laboring man is sweet, something like that.
1:43But, yeah, cutting up wood out of a log deck with a chainsaw, yep, that'll make you sleep.
1:51I know you're an insomniac.
1:52We've prayed about your sleep on many occasions.
1:55And praise the Lord, two nights of eight hours in a row, it doesn't get any better than that.
2:00So praise the Lord.
2:01All right, you and Danny have a great day.
2:03I understand you're going to be listening, and we've got you checked in.
2:06All right, any other check-ins?
2:07Please come now.
2:08Kilo 7, November after the travel.
2:11Okay, there is Keith, K7NEB.
2:14Good morning, Keith.
2:14How are you doing?
2:15Good morning, all.
2:16No prayer requests.
2:20Okay, copy.
2:21Good morning, all.
2:22No prayer requests.
2:23Keith, we've got you checked in.
2:24Thank you for being there, brother.
2:25All right, any other check-ins?
2:26Please come now.
2:30AK6OK with a check-in.
2:31KI6WXP.
2:33Joe cannot talk because of the surgery he had the other day and asked me to check him in.
2:39Copy that, Joe.
2:41KI6WXP.
2:42We got you checked in by way of relay from Jeff.
2:44AK6OK.
2:46And Al, KJ7QQH.
2:48Let's put Joe KI6WXP on the prayer list.
2:52He had a biopsy done on his throat, so no wonder he can't talk.
2:56No worries on that.
2:58So we're praying for Joe and the healing of his throat and his ability to talk.
3:03And, Jeff, thank you for that relay.
3:05All right, WB7MAX here.
3:08Looking for check-ins.
3:09Let's see.
3:09I just got a text message.
3:11This is from Dave, AI7QQ.
3:15Oh, it's from Ecclesiastes.
3:16Dave, thank you.
3:18Yeah, Ecclesiastes 5.12 says in the ESV,
3:23Sweet is the sleep of a laborer, whether he eats little or much,
3:29but the full stomach of the rich will not let him sleep.
3:31Well, that's an interesting commentary there at the end.
3:34But, yes, the sleep of the laboring man is sweet.
3:39Ecclesiastes 5.12 A.
3:42Dave, thank you for looking that up for me.
3:44Appreciate that, brother.
3:45All right, any other check-ins?
3:46Please come now.
3:48W6YSI.
3:49Good morning.
3:50Quebec, Quebec.
3:51Okay, we had a double there.
3:52I got them both.
3:54All right, Steve, W6YSI.
3:55W6YSI, you go first.
3:58Yeah, I just got my radio back on the air this morning, back home.
4:04All is well, and no prayer requests.
4:08W6YSI.
4:09All right, good, Steve.
4:11Glad to hear your voice and good signal today.
4:14All right, we got Ted, KK70QQ.
4:17Good morning, Ted.
4:17How are you doing?
4:18Good morning, everyone.
4:20Yes, I'm doing well this morning.
4:22Yeah, I just happened to wake up.
4:26I woke up a little bit earlier, about 3 o'clock, and I got out of here, and then I laid back
4:35down again, woke up again.
4:37So, yeah, the stars were out, and it was looking pretty nice, but I think, I don't know, it's
4:42supposed to make the cloud up in the rain.
4:44But, yeah, I had a wonderful day yesterday out there in that nice weather.
4:52Yeah, it's always enjoyable.
4:54But, yeah, everything's doing well here today.
4:58So, I look forward to the Bible study.
5:01KK70QQ.
5:03Back to you, Pastor Matt.
5:04All right, Ted, real good.
5:05We got you checked in.
5:07All right, the net would like to acknowledge Peter, KJ7BA.
5:11Good morning, Peter.
5:12Good to see you with us there on the Utah SDR.
5:16All right, let's see.
5:17What else do we have here?
5:18Peter says, good morning to everyone.
5:21Peter, thank you for that greeting.
5:23Oh, there's Gene, K7GWR.
5:25Good morning, Gene.
5:26Good to see you there on the Utah SDR.
5:29That's Gene, Aquila 7, Golf, Whiskey, Romeo.
5:35All right, any other check-ins?
5:37Please come now.
5:39WB7VZL.
5:40And there's Roger.
5:41Good morning, Roger.
5:43Your voice sounds better than anybody else's on the net.
5:45So, you get the number one award today.
5:48Over.
5:50I have no idea what you're talking about.
5:53Over.
5:54The band conditions are bad today,
5:56and your voice is booming in here
5:58like you're sitting next to me with no static.
6:01So, that's what's going on.
6:05Well, I heard Steve very nice, Lee and Jeff,
6:09and the band seems to be quite good to me, at least.
6:14I praise the Lord for that,
6:15for this marvelous song that we have before us.
6:19Yeah, I copy that.
6:21Well, it could be the band's improving, too.
6:22It sounds like maybe it's smoothing out a little bit for us.
6:25It's pretty staticky this morning.
6:27I think we had a solar flare of some kind last night.
6:30In any event, Roger, we got you checked in.
6:32Any prayer requests?
6:32Go ahead.
6:34Well, just the usual, of course.
6:38Autumn's birthday is coming up on the 12th,
6:40and so we bought some tennis shoes for her for one of her birthday presents,
6:47and she's pretty happy about that.
6:50She's got very, you know, narrow feet, and they're hard to fit.
6:55So, WB7 Visa L.
6:57Back to you, Max.
6:58Real good, Roger.
6:59All right.
6:59It is our 6 o'clock hour.
7:00It's time for us to get started.
7:02Are there any last-minute check-ins?
7:03Please come down.
7:04All right.
7:09Before we get started with our net,
7:11I'm going to turn the microphone over to Jeff.
7:13AK-6-OK.
7:15Jeff has a good report for us regarding the whole Bible situation,
7:19and so, Jeff, AK-6-OK, the microphone's yours.
7:22Go ahead.
7:24Yeah.
7:24Good morning.
7:25Thank you, Max.
7:26Yeah.
7:26Quite a thing happened yesterday.
7:29As you all remember, we were having some issues with a naval air station at Great Lakes, Illinois,
7:36and we had Bibles that we had shipped out there, and they got shipped back by a JAG officer,
7:42a fairly young guy, by the way, I'm finding out, a brand-new JAG,
7:46probably trying to make a name for himself, I would imagine.
7:49You recall that we went through Congress and got a hold of my congressman,
7:56and that got elevated all the way to the Pentagon.
7:59And so, anyway, I thought everything was pretty resolved with this whole declaration from Pete Hanks
8:06about the new Office of Religious Affairs.
8:12And yesterday, I got a very interesting phone call from the chief JAG officer for the Navy in Washington, D.C.
8:20This is a caller out of the blue.
8:22He was full of apologies and said, sir, you have done business with us free for 20 years.
8:29You don't deserve the kind of misery you've been handed by these folks in Great Lakes.
8:35And I think I have a solution.
8:37And I said, well, I'm all ears.
8:39He said, so what I'm going to do is I'm going to make sure that the Great Lakes people,
8:44the JAG officer there, gets kind of realigned here and realizes who you are.
8:48And that won't happen again.
8:50And secondly, he said, I'm going to write you a letter from me as the chief JAG officer for the Navy
8:57that authorizes you to send as many Bibles as you like to any facility in the United States or other places.
9:05And I'm going to renew that letter every year.
9:07Now, what's so astounding about that is we just went through some prayer time about this a few days ago,
9:13asking the Lord to take this over.
9:15And he not only took it over, he took it to the top.
9:19And from the top down, this issue is no longer an issue.
9:22Your problem has a problem.
9:24Go ahead, Mac.
9:26Well, praise the Lord for that.
9:28That is wonderful.
9:29I'm so glad to hear that answer to prayer and that God has opened a door so that the Word of God can have free course
9:37and be glorified in the spread to the military bases.
9:42So what a great answer to prayer.
9:45And the fact that it's not just going to be solved at Great Lakes.
9:49It's going to be solved across the entire armed forces and their bases
9:55and the fact that the Bibles will now never be hindered or sit back by some overzealous officer
10:03who has a problem with Bibles getting to soldiers.
10:07So that's a big praise for all of us as we follow this saga of Jeff through his Operation Worship,
10:15sending Bibles for free to military bases for chaplains to distribute to soldiers.
10:21And there was an officer who sent those Bibles back and didn't allow them to be distributed.
10:27And now that problem has been resolved.
10:29So praise the Lord for that.
10:31God fought the battle for us.
10:33And these made war with the Lamb, but the Lamb overcame because he is King of kings and Lord of lords.
10:41All right, with that report, we want to get started with our Bible study today.
10:47And so, Ed, in 6XOH, please go ahead and open our Bible study with prayer.
10:52Sure, let us pray.
10:54Dear Heavenly Father, we just come to you this morning.
10:56We ask that you bless this Bible study.
10:59That you watch over each person here, Lord.
11:02Your Holy Spirit will descend upon each one of us.
11:06Lord, I thank you for answering the prayer with Jeff.
11:09I know it reminds me of Exodus 14, 14.
11:15The Lord shall fight for you, and ye shall hold your peace.
11:18So, Lord, we just thank you for fighting for us.
11:22We're able to see your hand at work through Jeff's ministry with the Bible.
11:29Watch over us all, Lord, today.
11:31And help us all to gain a blessing from this Bible study.
11:34And be able to gain a blessing from the things we see that you're doing, that your hand is upon us.
11:41Watch over us all, Lord.
11:42And help us all to be ready when you come to take us home.
11:45I pray in Jesus' name.
11:47Amen.
11:48In 6XOH.
11:49Amen.
11:50Thank you so much for that, Ed.
11:51Really appreciate that prayer and that reference to Exodus 14, 14.
11:55What a great passage.
11:57All right, we're in Psalm 104 today.
11:59This is WB70MX, Net Control.
12:01And we're in a section of the Psalms, as I mentioned the other day, called the Thanksgiving Psalms,
12:08in which the psalmist gives God thanks and praise for his wonderful works toward us.
12:14Now, yesterday and the day before, we looked at Psalm 103, in which the psalmist gave thanks for God's mercy.
12:20And in our psalm today, in Psalm 104, he gives thanks for God's creation.
12:28Now, the Bible is very, very clear about this issue of creation.
12:33And the Bible strongly and repeatedly asserts that God made the world and all the things that are in it.
12:41It did not come into existence by time plus energy plus chance.
12:45It's not an accident of nature.
12:48It's not the result of blind probability.
12:51In Genesis 1 and verse 1, it says,
12:53In the beginning, God created the heavens and the earth, not time and energy and chance.
13:00But the Bible also strongly asserts that not only did God make the world and all things in it,
13:06it also strongly asserts that God manages the world and all things in it.
13:12The world is not some sort of an automatic system that functions all by itself once God starts it up.
13:17The world is actively superintended by all that occurs within it.
13:24And all that occurs within it is specifically guided by God.
13:28He controls the natural processes, and he provides for all of its inhabitants as he manages directly those natural processes.
13:38So, if we're going to use an analogy here, we would say that God's fingerprints are all over the creation,
13:48showing that he both made it and manages it according to his divine wisdom and by means of his infinite power.
13:56The natural creation, both in its makeup and in its management, is a powerful and irrefutable witness to the glory of God.
14:05And so the invisible things of God, by means of the creation of the world, are clearly seen.
14:11They're understood by everything he's made.
14:13His power and divinity are loudly declared in the makeup and management of the natural creation, as it says in Romans chapter 1.
14:22And so creation is a powerful witness to the existence of God.
14:26It's also a powerful witness to the wisdom of God.
14:29And to the duty and the privilege we have to worship this God who revealed himself in the phenomenal complexity and amazing management of creation and all the natural processes.
14:43So, this is what the psalmist is doing in Psalm 104.
14:47As he looks at, if you will, the book of nature.
14:50We have the book of scripture, right?
14:52We also have the book of nature.
14:54We're constantly moved, as we look at the book of nature, to marvel at the wisdom of God who conceived it all, who designed it all, who manages it all, so that all of it works together into a wonderful web of life.
15:08And so, this moves us to praise and to worship.
15:11And that's what's happening here in Psalm 104.
15:13He looks at nature, and it leads him to worship and praise and thank God, who made it all and who manages it all with his infinite wisdom and power.
15:25And so, what we see here is that as we look at this psalm, it vividly pictures God's creation, not as a set of historical facts and events like Genesis 1 and 2 do,
15:38but it pictures creation as a living, pulsating, active ecosystem that's vibrant and alive and functioning and interacting according to its living processes.
15:50So, what we have here in Psalm 104 is a lot more than just a history of creation like we do in Genesis 1 and 2.
15:56It's more like a moving picture of creation.
15:59You know, you've all seen those nature movies, right?
16:01And they sweep across the landscape, and they show you, you know, a lion, or they show you a rattlesnake, or they show you, you know, a flowing river.
16:11And you see it dynamically working through the process of time.
16:16That's kind of like what Psalm 104 is like.
16:19It's a moving picture of the pulsating, a life of creation.
16:23And so, this psalm does roughly follow the outline of Genesis 1 and recounting the various aspects of God's creation,
16:34but it really presents that in living, present detail as they function together.
16:40All right.
16:41A little introduction there to Psalm 104.
16:44Beck, Alpha Alpha 5 Yankee.
16:45If you could read for us Psalm 104, that would be great.
16:48Go ahead there, brother.
16:50Alpha Alpha 5 Yankee.
16:51Good morning, everybody.
16:53Praise to the Sovereign Lord for His creation and providence.
16:57I'm reading from the New King James Version.
17:00104, verse 1.
17:03Blessed the Lord, O my soul.
17:05O Lord, my God, You are very great.
17:08You are clothed with honor and majesty.
17:11You cover Yourself with light as with a garment,
17:14who stretched out over the heavens like a curtain.
17:17He lays the beams of the upper chambers in the waters,
17:20who makes the clouds His chariot,
17:22who walks on wings of wind,
17:24who makes angel spirits.
17:26His ministers a flame of fire.
17:31You who the foundations of the earth so that it should not be moved forever.
17:37You covered it with the deep as with a garment.
17:39The water stood above the mountains.
17:42At Your reproof, they fled.
17:44At the voice of Your thunder, they hastened away.
17:47They went up over the mountains.
17:49They went down into the valleys, the place which You founded them.
17:53You have set the boundary that they may not pass over,
17:56that they may not return to cover the earth.
17:59Verse 10.
18:00He sends the springs into the valleys that they flow among the hills.
18:03They give drink to every beast of the field.
18:07The wild donkeys quench their thirst.
18:09By them, the birds of the heavens have their home.
18:12They sing among the branches.
18:15He waters the hills from His upper chambers.
18:19The earth is satisfied with the fruit of Your works.
18:22Verse 10.
18:23He causes the grass to grow for the cattle and the vegetation of the service of man,
18:27that He may bring forth food from the earth and wine that makes glad the heart of man,
18:34oil that makes his face shine, and bread which strengthens in a man's heart.
18:39The trees of the Lord are full of sap, the cedars of Lebanon which He planted.
18:45Where the birds make their nests, the sork has their home in the fir trees.
18:50The high hills are for the wild goats.
18:52The cliffs are the refuge of the rock badgers.
18:55He appointed the moon for seasons.
18:58The sun knows it's going down.
19:00You make darkness, and it is night, in which all beasts of the forest creep about.
19:07The young lions roys after their prey and seek their food from God.
19:13When the sun rises, they gather together and lie down in their dens.
19:17Man goes out to his work and the labor until the evening.
19:2124.
19:21O Lord, how manifold are your works!
19:25In wisdom you have made them all!
19:27The earth is full of your possessions.
19:30This great and wide sea, in which an innumerable teeming things, living things both small and great.
19:41There are the ships sail about.
19:43There is that Leviathan, which you have made to play here.
19:4727.
19:48These all wait for you, that you may give them their food in due season.
19:53What you give them they gather in.
19:56You open your hand, they filled with good.
20:01You hide your face, they are troubled.
20:04They take away their breath, they die and return to their dust.
20:0830.
20:09You send forth your spirit, they are created.
20:12And you renew the face of the earth.
20:15May the glory of the Lord endure forever.
20:18May the Lord rejoice in his works.
20:20He looks on the earth and it trembles.
20:22He touches the hills and they smoke.
20:25I will sing to the Lord as long as I live.
20:27I will sing praise to my God while I have my being.
20:31May my meditation be sweet to him.
20:33I will be glad in the Lord.
20:35May sinners be consumed from the earth and the wicked be no more.
20:40Blessed the Lord, O my soul.
20:42Praise the Lord.
20:43Amen.
20:44Alpha Alpha 5 Yankee, back to that.
20:48Back Alpha Alpha 5 Yankee.
20:50Thank you for the reading.
20:51Good job.
20:52All right.
20:52Psalm 104.
20:54Any comments on Psalm 104?
20:55Please come down with your call sign.
20:58KB 7 ZXM.
21:00Kevin, KB 7 ZXM.
21:01Please go ahead.
21:03I'll get the ball rolling this morning, I guess.
21:05Really, very good introduction, Max.
21:08And I couldn't agree more.
21:09You know, and this is paired up with the last psalm, as we see, you know, concluding with us, joining the heavenly hosts and praising God and covenant relationships that he has with his, you know, people there.
21:25And in 103 here, we expand out, as you point out, to all creation and praising him.
21:33But it's interesting.
21:34Well, two points.
21:35I think this is understood to be an ancient psalm, if you will, or one going way back, maybe even 1400 years before.
21:45As one of the interesting things is, well, it does follow two things, I guess.
21:53It does follow the six days of creation.
21:55As you read through that, you'll see that it generally kind of follows those six days of creation.
22:01But one of the things, you know, in ancient times past, about 1400 years before the time of, you know, of the psalm being here, them singing it and made part of this book, the Egyptians worshipped Ra, the sun god.
22:22Well, this is a very strong polemics against that, that, no, the sun is significant, but it's created by God.
22:32It's not a god to worship.
22:35And so it is a strong witness against the false worship of the Egyptians of the times before.
22:43But, but anyway, what a, what a beautiful praise and, and, and for our God in his creation there.
22:53And, and you made some excellent points in your introduction that I could completely concur with.
23:00KB7 is that example.
23:02Kevin, thank you for that comment.
23:04And I appreciate you pointing out verse 19.
23:07He appointed the moon for seasons and the sun knows his going down.
23:11And so the sun isn't God.
23:14The sun was made by God, as you point out.
23:18And this was, as you well said, a polemic against the worship of the sun god, Ra, which the Egyptians engaged in.
23:26So, Kevin, thanks for bringing that out.
23:29And, you know, the whole problem is that people worship the creation rather than the creator.
23:36And so they look at the earth, they talk about mother earth.
23:42Some call it Gaia, G-I-A.
23:46And the idea there is that somehow the universe is our mother and the earth is that which gave us life.
23:54And Romans chapter 1 specifically rebukes that whole attitude when it says,
24:01When they knew God, they glorified him not as God, neither were thankful, but became vain in their imaginations.
24:08Their foolish heart were dark, and professing themselves to be wise, they became fools because they worshipped the creation rather than the creator.
24:18And so I appreciate you pointing out the fact that pagan religions worship what God made instead of the God who made what it is that they're looking at.
24:30And, of course, the reason for that is that when you're dead in trespasses and sins, you walk by sight and not by faith.
24:39And so what's the most great and the most powerful thing you can see with your eyes?
24:44Well, it's the sun, right?
24:47And so since it's the greatest and most powerful thing that you can see with your eyes, people tend to worship it.
24:53Or they worship the universe.
24:55Or they worship some sort of natural processes.
25:00And they ascribe to that their existence.
25:03And they look to that for their help.
25:05And they offer to that their worship.
25:07But we worship an invisible God who made the visible creation.
25:13And the visible creation is what points back to the invisible creator who made it.
25:19And, of course, that invisible creator became visible in the person of Jesus Christ here on the earth.
25:25All things were made by him.
25:28And without him was not anything made that was made.
25:31So great point there, Kevin, about let's not look at the visible and worship that.
25:37Let's look at the invisible and behind that and worship him.
25:42All right.

25:43Please come now.
25:51KM5F.
25:52I will.
25:52KM5F.
25:53Please go ahead.
25:54Yeah.
25:56Where I live, Mormonism is a dominant religion.
26:00And in one of their documents, they worship the creator being a man who became their God.
26:09While we worship the original creator.
26:11KM5F.
26:14Yeah.
26:15Well said.
26:16Yeah.
26:16Mormonism teaches that a man became a God.
26:20That God created the world in us.
26:22And we have the potential to become gods and create our own worlds and become creators.
26:27So, yeah, a very false doctrine there being taught by Mormonism.
26:33And it's important that when we're talking with a Mormon that we define who God is.
26:39Because they worship, as Will said, a created man who evolved into becoming a God.
26:48Not the God who is from everlasting to everlasting.
26:51So, Will, thanks for pointing that out.
26:55You know, when you're witnessing to people, you need to say, okay, what's this person's background?
27:00What is their understanding of God?
27:03And if they don't have a right view of God, then we have to educate them about who God is.
27:10And you see Paul doing that on Mars Hill in Acts chapter 17.
27:16All right.
27:16Other comments?
27:17Please come now.
27:17WB-7 Visa at L.
27:32Roger, please go ahead.
27:34Yeah, I was quite impressed with the reference to Genesis 3.
27:43Well, excuse me.
27:45I'm sorry.
27:45Genesis 9, verse 15, and the Noahic Covenant about boundary setting.
27:55And in, you know, verse 9, well, there's another reference here.
28:00Verse 6, the waters were standing above the mountains.
28:05And, of course, there's a special reference in Genesis, in the story of the flood, how the waters covered the earth, including all the highest mountains at that time.
28:18And then the mountains, verse 18, rose, and the valleys sank down to the place which thou didst establish for them.
28:27Now, this set of boundaries that they may not pass over, so that wonderful rainbow experience, that commitment of our great God, saying, these are the limits, and never again, until we reach the final, as Peter talks about, the fire.
28:50But never a flood, so anyway, just saw a lot of reference there to the Noahic Covenant.
28:58Over.
28:59Yeah, copy that.
29:00You know, two things.
29:02The earth was covered with water at the beginning of the creation, I think on day one or two.
29:08And then, on day three, I believe it was, then the dry land appeared.
29:14And so God rearranged the geography so that the mountains rose up, the ocean bottoms sunk down, and so the dry land appeared.
29:24And then, of course, he created on that dry land all the plants and all the animals and ultimately mankind.
29:31Well, then, as you well said, Roger, the flood came, right, and once again, the whole earth was covered with water.
29:38And then God brought an end to that.
29:40The dry land appeared again.
29:43Don't take the dry land you're standing on for granted.
29:47It has come and gone and come and gone and can come and go again.
29:50And, you know, we off the Oregon coast here have this huge earthquake fault, and they say that someday that thing's going to go off and we might lose the west coast of Oregon into the ocean.
30:06So thank God for the dry land under your feet and that you have a place to stand and you're not inundated with the waters.
30:14And so, yes, God promised with a new covenant that the waters would never again cover the entire earth.
30:23And while we do see floods, they're always local, and that's the way they will remain until, as you said, God cleanses the earth with fire, melts it back to its fundamental elements, 2 Peter 3,
30:37and then makes a new heaven and a new earth out of those fundamental elements once again.
30:42So, Roger, good comment there.
30:45Thank the Lord for dry ground to stand on, and thank the Lord that he's promised that we will always have that until the end.
30:53I did receive a comment here from Dave, AI7QQ, by way of text message.
30:59And he quotes here Exodus chapter 20, verses 10 to 11, which is the fourth commandment, okay?
31:08And it says,
31:08The seventh day is the Sabbath to the Lord your God.
31:11But on it you should not do any work, you or your son or your daughter or your male servant or your female servant or your livestock or the sojourner that is within your gates.
31:20Now, here it is, verse 11.
31:23For in six days the Lord made heaven and earth, the sea, and all that is in them, and rested on the seventh day.
31:30Therefore, the Lord blessed the Sabbath day and made it holy.
31:34And then Dave has this comment.
31:36Dave says,
31:37The Sabbath is the testimony to all that the Almighty God, that the Almighty God is the creator of all things.
31:45So whatever day you observe, we do it in thanksgiving and in witness to our great God, the creator of all things.
31:51The passage starts and ends with,
31:53Bless the Lord, O my soul.
31:54And everything in between is a witness as to why we should bless the Lord.
31:58Great passage, and he comments that Cascadia falls is very scary.
32:04And indeed it is.
32:06But nevertheless, thank you, Dave, AI7QQ, for pointing out the fourth commandment and it's witness to the fact that God created the world in seven literal 24-hour days.
32:20And that's why we have a literal seven-day week.
32:24And, of course, the last day of that week, we are to give worship to God.
32:30So, Dave, thanks for pointing out the connection between the fourth commandment and the creation narrative,
32:36and that the fourth commandment echoes and substantiates the fact that there is a literal seven-day creation.
32:44All right.
32:45Any other comments on our passage in Psalm 104?
32:47Please come down through call sign.
32:49WB7V is at L.
32:54Roger, please go ahead.
32:56I have been curious as to the Revelation chapter 14, verse 7, over the years.
33:06And I was helped by the fountains of water in that wonderful first angel that highlights the creator God.
33:17And in a remarkable way, it's the first angel of the three.
33:26And it highlights the fourth commandment in a sense, like Revelation highlights a lot of Older Testament passages.
33:35But then it adds the fountains of water.
33:38And a theologian said, well, that's a reference to the flood.
33:45And that's really helped me.
33:48Have you heard that before, over?
33:49Yeah.
33:51Let me just read that, Roger.
33:53Revelation 14, in verse 7, we have an angel flying over the earth, saying with a loud voice,
34:00Fear God and give glory to him, for the hour of his judgment has come.
34:05Now, here it is that Roger is referring to.
34:08It says,
34:08And worship him that made heaven and earth and the sea and the fountains of waters.
34:14Now, I take that, Roger, the fountains of waters refers to the freshwater springs that come out of the earth
34:24that provide us with fresh water in the form of rivers that flow down to the sea and, of course, lakes as well.
34:33Now, it does say, and you're correct, in the flood narrative that God broke up the fountains of the deep.
34:41So, what exactly that means, you know, is debated.
34:47But the idea there is that God has sources of water other than what's in the sky and other than what's in the ocean.
34:56And those sources of water are called the fountains of waters.
35:01And so, here in Oregon, we have the Metolius River.
35:05And it might be interesting to look that up.
35:07You can look at that on the Internet.
35:11And it's just a massive spring that comes out of the ground.
35:16And instantly, you have a major river.
35:18We're not talking about a creek here.
35:20We're talking about a full-blown river that just instantly appears out of the ground.
35:28And it's a famous fishing river here in Oregon.
35:32I've been to it.
35:33I've seen that hole where the river comes out.
35:37Nobody knows for sure where it comes from.
35:39But that would be an illustration, I think, Roger, of the fountains of the deep.
35:43Back to you, Roger.
35:46Wow.
35:46That's a powerful illustration.
35:50Again, what is that river called?
35:53Metolius.
35:53It's M-E-T-O-L-I-U-S, I believe.
35:58Metolius River.
35:58Over.
35:59Wow.
36:00That's a first for me.
36:02But it's quite a powerful illustration.
36:05Thank you, Max.
36:07All right.
36:07Real good.
36:08That's Roger, WB7VZO.
36:10Any other comments anybody wants to make on our psalm?
36:13Please come now.
36:13Well, while you're thinking, I'd like to comment on verse 1.
36:31Verse 1 of Psalm 104 says,
36:33And so this is a tremendous expression of praise here in verse 1.
36:47And once again, just like in Psalm 103, where David said,
36:51Bless the Lord, O my soul, assuming David wrote it, okay?
36:56In Psalm 104, the psalmist says exactly the same thing.
37:00Bless the Lord, O my soul.
37:01And so what we have here is the psalmist having a conversation with himself,
37:08stirring himself up to worship.
37:11And, you know, there's no better way we can occupy our minds
37:14than to stir ourselves up to reflect on who God is,
37:19to reflect on what God has done,
37:21and then begin to offer him praise and worship and thanksgiving for that.
37:26And so he says here,
37:28O Lord, my God, you are very great.
37:31And you are clothed with honor and majesty.
37:34And then he begins to talk about why the Lord is great
37:36and why the Lord is clothed with honor and majesty.
37:39And that's because he created all the things that then follow in the rest of the psalm.
37:44And so creation is an incredible provocation to praise.
37:49And, you know, when you're out in the woods or you're out in nature or you're just even in your own garden
37:55and you're looking at the flowers that maybe you planted in a pot on the front porch
37:59or you see, you know, a bird on your front lawn, you know, picking out worms or whatever they do,
38:07you know, that's just praise the Lord.
38:11You know, it's just a provocation to praise.
38:14Everywhere we look at creation, we see the handiwork of God.
38:18And, you know, when you go through an art gallery, right,
38:22and you look at the paintings and you look at the sculptures
38:24and the various things that are on display there,
38:28it's like instantly you start thinking about the artist, don't you?
38:31Wow, that artist is really skilled.
38:33Or you go to a concert, right,
38:35and you listen to people play, you know, the violin or the viola
38:38or whatever instrument is out there,
38:40and you think, man, that music, that person that played that,
38:45they're amazingly skilled.
38:48And yet, when creation is on display, people say, oh, natural processes.
38:55But that would be like saying, you know,
38:56you tossed a violin and a bow off a cliff and it played Mozart on the way down, right?
39:02It just doesn't happen.
39:03It takes intelligent design to actually produce something of beauty,
39:09a balance, of harmony, of something that's aesthetically pleasing.
39:15And that's what we see when we look at the creation.
39:18Clearly, there's a design behind that design.
39:21There's a designer behind that design,
39:24just like there's a musician behind a violin and a bow.
39:29And so, as we look at the creation,
39:32we need to look past it to the one who made it
39:35and give him worship and praise.
39:36All right, other comments on our passage.
39:38Please come now.
39:39All right, let's do it.
39:47KG-6, Jerry.
39:48Jerry, KG-6, go ahead.
39:51This is probably a stretch, but I'm going to give it a try,
39:54and you'll reel me in if I'm out in the left field.
39:56So, this reminded me to look at, and I had to go look it up.
40:01I didn't remember where it was at.
40:03Matthew 6, verse 25 through 34,
40:08where it speaks of the birds and the lilies and how God takes care of them.
40:14And the main part of this really is about a commandment for us not to worry.
40:19But what unlocks the blessing is focus on God,
40:25and all these things shall be added unto you.
40:27But they come from creation.
40:30So, anyway, help me out here, Pastor Max.
40:33KG-6, Jay, back to you.
40:35Yeah, well said.
40:37You know, our connection with creation is profound.
40:41From creation, we get our clothing.
40:43From creation, we get our food.
40:45From creation, we get our air.
40:46From creation, we get our water.
40:49From creation, we get our shelter.
40:52Everything we have that sustains our lives comes from creation.
40:57And what is creation but the treasure house of God?
41:02And so God, as it were, opens his treasures of creation to us and says,
41:08Take freely.
41:09Use what's here.
41:11I provided it for you.
41:13And so when you look at all the things you've got,
41:15I mean, you look at the microphone you're holding in your hand
41:19or the radio that's in front of you,
41:21where did all the stuff from inside that radio come from?
41:24Every bit of it came out of the ground.
41:28And so we have every reason to praise God wherever we turn.
41:33And you're exactly right.
41:34The connection here between Psalm 104 and Matthew 6,
41:39in verse 24 through 34,
41:44is that God in creation has provided for us,
41:49and he's managed in that creation so that our needs are met.
41:55And so therefore, since he's provided for us,
41:57we don't need to worry about that.
42:00We need to focus on the kingdom of God and his righteousness.
42:02You know, he says,
42:05Don't worry about what you're going to eat.
42:07Don't worry about what you're going to drink.
42:08Don't worry about what you're going to be clothed with.
42:10God will take care of all that.
42:12Seek first the kingdom of God and his righteousness.
42:15And so the idea here is that we don't focus on the creation
42:19while we're drawing resources out of the creation.
42:23Rather, we focus on the kingdom of God,
42:27the preaching of the gospel,
42:29the worship of God,
42:31and living out his commandments and precepts for his glory.
42:37So it reminds me of this verse here in Psalm 104.
42:48Yeah, verse 27.
42:51It says,
42:51And so what the psalmist is saying here is that God feeds his creatures,
43:20both the animals and the people.
43:22And if he doesn't, they die.
43:24But he sees to it that their lives are sustained.
43:27Reproduction is accomplished.
43:29And not only does the human race go on,
43:31the entire ecosystem of all the plants and all the animals
43:35continues to go on as well because God feeds them.
43:38And that's the connection there in Matthew 6.
43:42He says,
43:42Behold the birds of the air.
43:44You know, God feeds them.
43:46And so he feeds us as well.
43:49So, Jerry, that's a perfect connection between Psalm 104 and Matthew 6.
43:54Appreciate you pointing that out.
43:56All right, other comments.
43:56Please come down.
43:57Roger, please go ahead.
44:11I think of the reference to the universe 26.
44:17There, the ships move along in the Leviathan,
44:22Leviathan, which thou hast formed to sport it.
44:28And I thought of this summer when we had a renewed taste of watching whales from the cliffs of Depot Bay
44:40and watching them sport with their spouts and jumping and entertaining the small crowd that was around me.
44:52When I say crowd, I was on kind of the side of things.
44:57But at any rate, it was a marvel to, again, get a taste of those giant, giant creatures.
45:04Over.
45:05Yeah, amen.
45:06And, you know, from the smallest one-celled creatures in the sea all the way up to the great whales,
45:14all of that is a reflection of God's glory.
45:16You know, I am a diver, and, you know, I remember as a young teenager going into the ocean off of Fort Bragg, California,
45:27for the first time and just being overwhelmed with the intensity of life that is under the water.
45:34And, you know, God has been super abundant in the variety of life he's provided,
45:42the intensity of life he's provided, the interconnectedness of all of those life forms
45:49and how they all depend upon each other.
45:52And, you know, the plankton feeds the whale.
45:55And it's amazing as you look at these giant creatures and how that God made them
46:04and everything that is smaller than them.
46:07And you see them going through the ocean that God provided for them to swim in.
46:12And, you know, when you look at the way ecosystems all not only work within themselves,
46:20but all work with each other,
46:23you realize that a master craftsman wove all of the threads of this creation together
46:28to make this beautiful tapestry that we call nature.
46:33and all of it for his glory, all of it for our pleasure,
46:37and all of it for the meeting of our needs of our bodies so we can get through this life.
46:43Praise the Lord for that, Roger.
46:45And I'm sure that seeing those wells just caused you to worship.
46:48All right, other comments, please come now.
47:01WB7, Visa, L.
47:02Roger, please go ahead.
47:03Yeah, I know we're looking at time issues,
47:06but one comment when you were describing especially the first beginnings of creation,
47:13that creation is separation,
47:18and it requires power.
47:20So, if the earth was formed without form and void,
47:27it's the separation that occurs.
47:30And I'm trying to separate situations in my ham shack so I can get into it after, you know, 50 years.
47:43That's hard work, isn't it?
47:44That's hard work, isn't it?
47:46Yes, it is.
47:47Yes, it is.
47:48And, you know, we're constantly dumbstruck and awestruck with the beauty of creation.
47:55Roger, we are out of time.
47:56I have forgotten to watch the clock.
47:58We need to go to prayer.
48:00I got a great comment here from Dave, but it's pretty long, so I'll abstain from reading that.
48:05But, Dave, thank you for your comment.
48:08AI7QQ.
48:09We do need to go to prayer.
48:11Any final prayer requests before we go to prayer?
48:16Please come now with your call sign.
48:22All right.
48:23Al, KJ7QQH, go ahead and close and pray for us today, please.
48:29Thank you, Pastor Max.
48:30Good morning, everyone.
48:31I'm Matt.
48:32This is KJ7QQH.
48:34Let's all come together before the Lord's prayer.

51:18And we'll give praise for the house.

53:11We also pray for her husband, Chad, who's having heart arrhythmia issue, and that he'll be of good support for her.
53:18And for safety, for Beck, as he works under his truck, get that completed today, and get that truck down off of those jacks and safe.

54:20And please use those Bibles to save you and sanctify the soldiers.
54:24We give praise for Jeff's wife, Patty, for the healing and recovery of her broken wrists.
54:31And we pray for the improvement through her physical therapy that she's happy.
54:35And we also give praise for Jeff's job there, who came through surgery well.
54:42And we pray now for his recovery.
54:46For Tom, WW17, Tom is recovering from a major spine surgery in a wheelchair.
54:53And we're praying for his physical therapy to provide patients gain and increase his mobility.
54:59We pray also for the electric wheelchair that he's waiting for to be approved and that that will be met.
55:10We continue to pray for Pastor Jeff Blatt, who has severe ulcerative colitis.
55:15We pray for his skills through the medical treatment that he's received.
55:19For Cody, AI-7-TRS, we join him and pray for his Uncle Doug, a believer with a severe head injury.
55:29And Doug's in the hospital with a brain injection.
55:32We pray for his ongoing treatment and recovery.

55:44For Steve, W6YSI, we join him in lifting up his wife, Leslie, to find the cause of the leg pain that she has.
55:53And prayers were a good diagnosis.
55:57For Scott, KD-7, YQT, we pray for his wife, Pam, who has severe lupus, and that that would go into remission.
56:06We pray for his daughter, Kendra, with ongoing multiple chronic health needs.
56:11We pray for Mike, KK-7-N, with stage 4 cancer.
56:15We pray for a chemo treatment that started and that that would be effective.
56:23For his youngest daughter, Becca, who started a new job working at a hospital for troubled youth and substance abuse rehabilitation.
56:32For Jim and 7BKMe, for opportunities to share the gospel with others.
56:38We pray for the salvation of all of our children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
56:45And for all those on the net, for you, God, who works grace in their hearts for their protection, the ways of the world, and the attacks of Satan.
56:54And for Brian, KJ-7 PWM, we continue to ask for salvation.
57:02For Brian's secretary, Mariah, Brian gave her a Bible to read, and so we asked that she would come to a closer relationship with you through that.
57:12For Brian's son, Adrian's girlfriend, Zoe, to get married, and become saved.
57:19For the parents of six-year-old Alex, the newborn Adam, and pray that Zoe is reading the Bible now and will develop a good relationship with you.
57:30Prayers for the successful completion of the reorganization project of Brian, once they're going now through this office in Camp Chappell.
57:40For A.J. 6-0-K, we pray for the need of the three new chapels to be built on Camp Dome, and for you, God, to raise up those to manage them, that that need will be met.
57:54For that, Lord, we thank you for your goodness, your mercy, and your grace to each one of us.
58:01Bring us back again tomorrow for more of you and your words.
58:05Keep us on a path focused on you.
58:08So, in fact, we thank you for the gift of your son, Jesus Christ.
58:14We pray all these things through.
58:16Amen.
58:17This is KJ-7 QQH, returning back to you there, Pastor Max, in the net control.
58:22All right, Al, KJ-7 QQH, thank you so much for leading us in prayer.
58:28I really appreciate that.
58:29This is WB7MAX, net control for the West Coast Bible Study.
58:32I want to thank all the stations who checked in this morning, as well as those who stood by, to give us a clear operating frequency.
58:38We meet here seven days a week at 6 a.m. in order to read the scriptures, understand their meaning, message, and application to our lives,
58:46and then pray for grace and mercy for God to be able to help us to live out what we learn
58:53and for God to meet the needs of those that are in our circle of fellowship.
58:57I'll be returning this frequency now to regular amateur use.
59:00This is WB7MAX.
59:02I'll be clear and standing by.
59:06Alpha Alpha 5 Yankee with this morning's joke.
59:08I'm back.
59:09Alpha Alpha 5 Yankee.
59:10Go ahead.
59:10Okay, this is a very interesting one.
59:14Why do chicken coops only have two doors?
59:20Why do chicken coops only have two doors?
59:25I suppose one to go in and the other to go out, but I'm sure that's not the answer.
59:30All right, anybody else want to take a stab at that?
59:32Why do chicken coops only have two doors?
59:34Come ahead.
59:40Because if they had four doors, they would be chicken sedans.
59:50That's good.
59:51If they had four doors, they would be chicken sedans.
59:56That's good, Beck.
59:57Thank you for that.
59:58All right.
59:59Anybody else want to comment?
60:01Throw all your call signs.
60:02That was good, Beck.
60:08AK-6 okay with an additional comment here.
60:11Jeff, AK-6 okay.
60:12Go ahead, brother.
60:14Yeah, one thing I forgot to mention about that chief JAG officer.
60:19He said, sir, just to let you know, I have one of your Bibles on my desk.
60:24I thought that was pretty cool.
60:26He also sent me all of his contact information, including his cell phone.
60:30And he said, if you have an issue with the ship's project or any of these projects, you call me personally.
60:37He knew all about what we do on ships.
60:39He went through our record and figured out the whole story.
60:43Go ahead.
60:44Well, praise the Lord for that.
60:46He's got a few of your Bibles on his desk.
60:49You know, you never know, Jeff, where those Bibles are going to reach to.
60:52And as you said, when I was in the warehouse there with you, every one of those Bibles has a soldier's name on it.
60:58And who would have known that the chief JAG officer would get one of those Bibles and use it?
61:03So praise the Lord for that and for the fact that they've seen what you've done in the chapels on the ships and all of those things.
61:11So that's a real encouragement that, you know, officers at the highest level are reading the Bible and defending its distribution to the soldiers.
61:24Jeff, thanks for that report.
61:25All right, WB7MX here.
61:30WB7VZL.
61:31This is tremendous, Jeff.
61:32It sure is.
61:37You know, this just proves, and it's going to go in as a chapter in my book, but this proves, listen, God doesn't just sit back and watch misery.
61:46He deals with situations that we all have, and he deals with it in incredible and possible ways.
61:55And I've got so many different examples of that.
61:58I just can't hold this back.
61:59The people have to know.
62:02Yeah, absolutely, and in the context of what I heard on NPR, that aircraft carrier, I believe it was, in which there was so much mental health challenges
62:15and kind of a crisis being out to sea for too long.
62:21But they sure need the word of God on those ships.
62:27WB7VZL.
62:29I'll talk to you tomorrow, Lord willing.
62:32WB7MX.
62:33WB7MX.
62:34Yes, I totally agree.
62:35Thank you guys very much.
62:37And I've got another issue.
62:38I've got to go deal with this minor, but good to hear you on here.
62:41Good job today, Mac.
62:43Amen.
62:44Thanks, Jeff, for that.
62:44WB7MX.
62:45WB7MX.
62:45Go ahead.
62:46Yeah, Jeff, I wanted to say, you're helping turn our military back around to where it should be.
62:52I watched Pete Hegseth yesterday talking, and he's saying that they're bringing the Lord back into their military and making it Christian-based like it's supposed to be
63:02and getting rid of all the woke and gayness that's in it.
63:06And you're helping with that, Jeff, and I would appreciate that.
63:09Thank you.
63:12You bet.
63:13And thank you.
63:14And, you know, it's true.
63:15He has fired a whole bunch of chaplains.
63:17I don't know if you've heard about that.
63:19But woke chaplains, look out.
63:21Your days are numbered.
63:24Praise the Lord.
63:25Amen.
63:25KD7ES.
63:30KD7ES.
63:30Eric, please go ahead.
63:32Hey, just enjoying the conversation here.
63:35And I took the day off, by the way, so another extra day off for me.
63:39But this whole thing kind of reminds me, what is it, Gamaliel in Acts chapter 5.
63:48And the Sanhedrin, I think it was trying to figure out what they're going to do with Peter and the apostles about spreading the gospel.
63:57And he kind of spoke up and said, hey, you know, if this is of God, you can't overthrow it unless you even be found to fight against God.
64:13And so it's kind of like this little thing with Jeff, it's like, you know, this is of God, from God, and it's his ministry.
64:20And, you know, it's something that God is putting forth, and there's nothing that will be able to stop it because, like I said, it's from God.
64:32I guess that's what I'm trying to say, and it just reminds me of that whole situation.
64:37Yeah, amen.
64:38Yeah, that's Acts chapter 5 and verse 33 to 42.
