The Bible reading

Psalm 111

The study focused on Psalm 111, identifying the central theme as the works of the Lord, which are mentioned five times in the text. The net control noted that just as a man is known by his work, God is known by His works, which reveal His nature, wisdom, righteousness, and power. The psalmist declares an intention to praise the Lord with his whole heart in the assembly of the upright, emphasizing that praise should be intense and public.

Insights

  • A covenant is distinct from a general promise because it is secured by an oath, providing a unique assurance of God's faithfulness.
  • The 'fear of the Lord' is not merely terror but a deep reverence that results in wisdom and a desire to obey God's commandments.
  • God's works are described as 'memorable,' suggesting that significant acts of God are intended to be remembered and reflected upon by His people.
  • The study emphasized that human depravity twists the natural knowledge of God found in creation and conscience into false worship, making the gospel essential for true relationship with God.
  • The psalm serves as a reminder to look at God's active work in creation, providence, and redemption as the primary source of praise and worship.

6:29Thank you.
6:59All right, WB7MX here, ready to start the West Coast Bible Study, not hearing any more check-ins, and I'm just going over my list here, making sure I've got everybody. I think I do, and I'll be looking at those again as time goes on.
7:18All right, let's see here. Yeah, okay. Let's get started. All right, WB7MX, we are in Psalm 111, and we are going to open in prayer before we get started and look at that psalm.
7:35Scott, KD7YQT. Please go ahead and open a prayer for us today.
7:39This is KD7YQT opening in prayer.
7:44Our gracious Heavenly Father, Lord, we thank you for the privilege of being able to meet on the air to discuss your word, Lord.
7:53Lord, in a fallen world, it is something that, Lord, needs to be done, that your word is proclaimed, and that we try to live as you have asked us to live.
8:05Lord, we would lift up the families that were affected from the shooting yesterday in Oregon.
8:11So much tragedy, it seems, that goes on in our world, and, yes, we are a fallen people.
8:18And, Lord, we would just ask that there's somebody out there that's listening and that maybe doesn't know you, Lord, and Savior,
8:26and saying they would ask you into their life and into their heart.
8:31And, Lord, we just ask for blessing on our study this morning.
8:34We thank you for all this group that gathers every day, and we just, again, thank you for all the blessings you have given to us.
8:47In Jesus' name we pray. Amen.
8:50Amen. Thank you so much, Scott, KD7YQT, for that prayer.
8:54I really appreciate that.
8:55All right, we are in Psalm 110, and strike that, strike that.
9:01My mistake. Psalm 111. We did Psalm 110 yesterday.
9:05A little slip of the brain there.
9:07It had a collision between the brain cells. How about that?
9:11I'll write it off to that.
9:12It had an accident up there in the gray matter.
9:16All right, Psalm 111. That's 1-1-1.
9:21Well, this is a psalm about the work of the Lord.
9:26Five times it mentions the works of the Lord.
9:29Notice verse 2, the works of the Lord.
9:33Verse 3, his work.
9:34Verse 4, he has made his wonderful works.
9:37Verse 6, he has showed the people the power of his works.
9:41And verse 7, the works of his hands.
9:44So, we can draw from that the conclusion that this psalm is about the works of the Lord.
9:51Well, there's an old saying that goes like this.
9:56A man is known by his work.
9:59My father taught that saying to me.
10:02I taught that saying to my own sons.
10:04And the reason why we did so was because we wanted to instill in our sons that your work makes your reputation.
10:14If you work hard and do good work, if you're productive, if your work is valuable and useful and is of excellent quality,
10:22well, then you are somewhat to be admired and respected and looked up to and spoken well of.
10:28Because your work makes your reputation.
10:31And so, do good work and your reputation will be an honor and a credit to your nature.
10:36And if all that is true of men, it is equally true of God as well.
10:42God is known by his works.
10:44His works reveal his nature.
10:46His works reveal his character.
10:49And his works form and shape his reputation.
10:52And his works, of course, bring honor and credit to his name.
10:57So, as we look at the works of God, we see the nature of God, the wisdom of God.
11:03We see the righteousness of God.
11:05We see the greatness of God.
11:09We learn about the power of God.
11:12All these things, his character, his wisdom, his greatness, and his power, those are all revealed by what he does.
11:19And so, as we look at the works of God, we reason from the works to the person doing the works.
11:24And they tell us a great deal about him.
11:27And so, as we meditate on or reflect on the works of God, it just causes us to break out in praise to God.
11:37And so, the theme and the message of our psalm is the works of God and the praise that should flow out of the contemplation of those works.
11:48And so, what we're going to be doing today is looking at the works of God and, through those, be moved to offer him praise and worship.
11:57All right.
11:57Jerry, AE70R is going to read for us today.
12:00Jerry, go ahead and read for us Psalm 111.
12:03Praise the Lord.
12:07I will give thanks to the Lord with all my heart.
12:12In the company of the upright and in the assembly, great are the works of the Lord.
12:18They are studied by all who delight in them.
12:22Splendid and majestic is his work.
12:26His righteousness endures forever.
12:30He has made us wonders to be remembered.
12:32The Lord is gracious and compassionate.
12:36He has given fruit to those who fear him.
12:39He will remember his covenant forever.
12:43He has made known to his people the power of his works and giving them the heritage of the nation.
12:51Verse 7.
12:53The works of his hands are truth and justice.
12:57All his precepts are fair.
13:00They are of hell forever.
13:02And ever.
13:02They are performed in truth and uprightness.
13:06He has sent redemption to his people.
13:09He has ordained his covenant forever.
13:12Holy and awesome is his name.
13:16The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom.
13:19The good understanding of all those who do his commandments.
13:23His praise endures forever.
13:27Back to you, 8070R.
13:29Jerry, 8070R, good reading.
13:31Thank you for that.
13:33WB7MX here, Net Control.
13:34All right.
13:34Any comments on our passage?
13:37Please come down with your call sign.
13:38All right.
13:38All right.
13:39All right.
13:57Well, while you're thinking, let's start out with verse 1.
13:59Praise ye the Lord.
14:00I will praise the Lord with my whole heart in the assembly of the upright and in the congregation.
14:07So the psalmist declares in verse 1 his intention to engage in praise.
14:14And the object of his praise is the Lord.
14:17And, of course, we know that God is the only one that's worthy of the praise that the psalmist is offering.
14:24And he doesn't give praise to himself for what he's done.
14:28He doesn't give praise to other people or to good luck or to fortune.
14:32He gives praise to the Lord.
14:35And the Lord alone is the object of his praise.
14:38And then you look at the intensity of his praise.
14:40He's going to praise him with his whole heart.
14:43This is no lackadaisical, half-hearted, weak-kneed, distracted praise.
14:49This psalmist, he's focused.
14:51And when we praise the Lord, nothing less than our whole being, mind, emotion, will, body,
14:59should be involved and dedicated to that.
15:02And then notice the place of his praise.
15:05Where is he going to do this?
15:06In the assembly, the upright, and in the congregation.
15:09That is, he's going to do it in public.
15:13And while private praise and worship is certainly commendable,
15:16public praise that gives glory to God and maximizes the awareness of what God has done in the congregation
15:24is the best place to offer praise in church, in public.
15:31You know, when people, when something happens, you know, you can always say,
15:35it's always appropriate to say, well, praise the Lord for bringing that to pass or whatever,
15:40and give praise to God.
15:43So, anyway, that's his intention there in verse 1.
15:47The object of praise is the Lord.
15:48The intensity of praise is his whole heart.
15:51And the place of praise is the assembly of the believers, the congregation of the church.
15:58All right, that starts us off.
16:00Somebody else come up with something from these other verses.
16:02Let's hear your voice.
16:06WB7VZL.
16:06Roger, please go ahead.
16:09Yeah, I was very impressed.
16:11I read it just before I came down here in the NIV.
16:15But I see here it's very, very clear to affirm the everlasting covenant
16:23that we have learned so wonderfully about,
16:27that God is for us, and he made provisions for us
16:32from the very inception of the fall.
16:34Now, verse 5, he has given food to those who fear him.
16:39He will remember, we've talked about that recently, remember his covenant forever.
16:46So, that stood out to me.
16:49And as well as verse 9, he has ordained his covenant forever.
16:54So, it's really underlining the covenant love of God.
16:59WB7VZL.
17:00Well, Roger, what a great observation.
17:03And, you know, you can't overstate the importance of the covenants.
17:11The covenants are the central organizing structure of the Bible.
17:15They are, if you will, the skeleton upon which all of the redemptive revelation of God hangs
17:22and is organized by.
17:24And, Roger's right.
17:27Verse 5, he speaks of, he will ever be mindful of his covenant.
17:31Verse 9, he has commanded his covenant forever.
17:35And so, God's covenant promises, in particular, his Abrahamic covenant,
17:40in which he promised redemption to his people,
17:44to send them a seed, a savior, a messiah.
17:47And, of course, that was first promised in Genesis 3.15, the seed of the woman.
17:52And now, we see that echoed and amplified in the Abrahamic covenant,
17:58that he would give Abraham a seed.
18:01And, of course, we know from Galatians chapter 3 that that seed is Jesus Christ.
18:06And so, what we have in these covenants is God's oath-sworn promise.
18:12And that's the difference between a covenant and a promise.
18:16A covenant is a promise, but the unique thing about a covenant is it's always sworn with an oath.
18:23So, God promises, and, of course, God can't lie.
18:26And so, we have the assurance that any promise he makes is going to come to pass.
18:31But then there's certain promises called covenant,
18:35covenant, in which he secures that promise, in which he cannot lie,
18:40with an oath that he will bring it to pass.
18:43So, the swearing of an oath is a very rare thing that God does.
18:47It's a unique thing God does.
18:50And it's what he does in relationship to his promises.
18:54And so, covenants define relationships.
18:59And so, God defined his relationship with the world in the Noahic covenant,
19:04with his redeemed people in the Abrahamic covenant,
19:08with the nation of Israel in the Old Covenant.
19:11He defined his relationship with David in the Davidic covenant,
19:15that he was going to be the progenitor of the Messiah.
19:20And then, of course, he defined his relationship with us in the New Covenant.
19:24How are we going to approach God?
19:25We're going to approach God through repentance of sin and faith in Jesus Christ,
19:30his Lord and Savior.
19:32And so, these covenants set forth God's plan in relationship to the world,
19:37in relationship to his people, and in relationship to himself.
19:43So, Roger, thank you for pointing out the prominence.
19:46Mention twice in this passage that is the ground upon which God does these wonderful works toward us,
19:52and the ground upon which we may expect him to deal with us in the future.
19:59Great comment, Roger.
20:00Thank you for that.
20:01Other comments?
20:02Please come down.
20:03KJ7 PBT.
20:05Mark, KJ7 PBT.
20:07Please go ahead.
20:08Hey, guys, Max.
20:09I'm looking at verse 10 here.
20:12It says,
20:12The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom,
20:15a good understanding of all they that do his commandments,
20:20his praise endures forever.
20:22The thing that settled into my heart here was,
20:26the fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom.
20:28And many times we have kind of a sideways fear of what fear means.
20:35It certainly can be fearful, as we've seen in his acts of wrath and vengeance.
20:46But it's the true, the awe-inspired respect that we have for God,
20:54knowing his power and his love.
20:58It's his eternal wisdom, his redemption, his honor, his glory.
21:06And all of these things we can wrap up into the word fear of the Lord.
21:11And it's interesting to me that knowing the Lord
21:16and getting closer to him and understanding him better
21:20and fearing him and giving him the respect that is due,
21:25as we approach the word of God, we learn these things over time.
21:30It settles into us.
21:33And that is the beginning of wisdom.
21:35Back to you, Max.
21:38Mark, KJ7 PBT.
21:40We thank you for pointing out verse 10.
21:42The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom.
21:45A good understanding of all they that do his commandments,
21:48his praise endures forever.
21:51And so Mark was commenting about the fear of the Lord
21:53and that this attitude of reverence and awe and respect,
21:58where God is the highest object of respect,
22:02and we have the greatest concern for pleasing him
22:06and doing his will and showing him honor.
22:10And so people who don't fear the Lord don't have any wisdom.
22:15The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom,
22:17and so if there's no fear of God, mark it down, there's no wisdom there.
22:21And so the fear of the Lord and the keeping of his commandments
22:26are still as basic for the people of God as they ever were.
22:32We see numerous exhortations to fear the Lord in the New Testament.
22:38And so those who fear the Lord are those who are wise enough
22:40and humble enough to understand his works
22:43and to give him glory for those works.
22:46So whenever you see a God-fearing man, you see a worshiping man.
22:50And, Mark, thank you for pointing out the importance of the fear of God
22:56and how central that is to wisdom and also to worship
23:01because God should have the highest place of respect.
23:07We should have the greatest concern for pleasing him,
23:13the greatest concern for not displeasing him,
23:17and the greatest concern for his regard of us
23:21and what we do and how we carry out our lives.
23:25So our number one frame of reference in anything we say, do, or think
23:30is what does God think of this,
23:33and how would God react to my doing this.
23:37And that's the fear of the Lord.
23:39Mark, thank you for pointing out that connection
23:41between wisdom, the fear of the Lord, and worship.
23:46All right, any other comments?
23:47Please come now.
23:5310-7 GND.
23:55Okay, N-7 GND.
23:57Go ahead there, Mike.
23:58Yeah, I'm looking at the whole verses and context,
24:06and it focuses on what God has done and is doing, and not us.
24:11It seems sometimes that God seems passive.
24:16And he isn't passive.
24:18He talks about greater the works of the Lord.
24:23Glorious and majestic are his deeds.
24:26He has caused his wonders.
24:28He provides food.
24:30He has the power of his works.
24:32The works of his hands are faithful and just,
24:34and he provided redemption.
24:36And it's really,
24:39it focuses on that God is active and doing things.
24:44He's not powerless.
24:45He's actually working and doing things.
24:50And the psalmist recognizes that and gives glory to God for it.
24:57So it's interesting.
24:59It's just focused on God and not what Israel's done,
25:02what man has done,
25:03but focusing on God and his power
25:06and what he has done and what he is doing.
25:09And 7 GND.
25:11Mike, what a great observation.
25:13Thank you for that.
25:15Yeah.
25:16The psalm presents God as active.
25:19It's focused on God.
25:22And God is not passive.
25:24You know, oftentimes we kind of think,
25:25well, we're busy doing stuff.
25:28And we kind of think God is up in heaven
25:30sitting in a chair just watching.
25:32And Mike rightly pointed out
25:34that's absolutely not the case.
25:37God is actively working all the time at every moment.
25:41He's not passive.
25:42He's not indifferent.
25:44He's fully engaged in what we are doing.
25:48He is, in fact, arranging everything
25:51so that we can do what we do.
25:54And so our focus should be not on what am I doing.
25:58It shouldn't be on what are other people doing,
26:01but what is the Lord doing?
26:04And so that's what this psalm opens with in verse 1,
26:08Praise ye the Lord.
26:10The psalmist doesn't talk about himself.
26:12In this psalm, he talks about God.
26:14And so Mike rightly points out
26:16that we need to see God as active and not passive.
26:19We need to see God as bringing things to pass
26:23and carrying out his plan,
26:26and that that plan is active and energetic and operational,
26:30and God is managing it constantly.
26:35And therefore, we need to be saying to ourselves,
26:39what is God doing?
26:41And how can I praise God for what just got done?
26:45And so without him, we can do nothing.
26:47So clearly, if anything's getting done,
26:51it's God who's doing it in and through the means that he has provided.
26:55But ultimately, you know, it's like Job said,
26:59the Lord gave and the Lord took away.
27:01Blessed be the name of the Lord.
27:03And so behind all the events that occurred,
27:05he saw God as actively working.
27:08And Mike is encouraging us to do that as well.
27:11So Mike, great comment.
27:13Thank you for that.
27:14We have an active, working God,
27:15that we have a God upon whom we need to put our focus
27:20and give our praise.
27:22All right, other comments.
27:24Please come down.
27:27KJ7 PVT.
27:29Mark, KJ7 PVT, please go ahead.
27:32Just looking back over our shoulders to yesterday's Psalm 110,
27:37right at the very head of it,
27:38many times we get, you know,
27:42people get messed up as to who God is.
27:46And I'm just, of course, I'm going back one day here,
27:50but it says,
27:52The Lord said to my Lord,
27:54and here's David speaking,
27:56so whose Lord is David talking about?
28:00The Lord said to my Lord,
28:02sit at my right hand until I make thine enemy inside footstool.
28:07This is God the Father calling the Son God.
28:12So this identifies the Lord Jesus Christ as God.
28:18And that's an important point to kind of put on things
28:22every once in a while,
28:24that it is not just the Lord God
28:27that is some kind of a shapeless power or something,
28:34that He is the person of Jesus Christ.
28:39You know, that can even imagine.
28:44Yeah, Mark was drawing our attention back to Psalm 110 in verse 1.
28:48The Lord said unto my Lord,
28:49sit thou at my right hand until I make thine enemy as my footstool.
28:52And the fact that Jesus is still in His human body,
29:01He's not some shapeless, undefined force.
29:05God is a person.
29:07The Father is a person.
29:09He has a Son who is a person,
29:11who is sitting at His right hand.
29:13And so we serve a very definite God
29:16with contours of character
29:19and patterns of activity
29:23that are clear, sharp, and definable.
29:26And what's going on there in verse 1 of Psalm 110
29:29is God's going to make Christ's enemies His footstool.
29:35And you know, He's going to do the same for us.
29:38It says in Romans 16,
29:39God shall bruise Satan under your feet shortly.
29:43And in the end,
29:44God is going to make our enemies bow down to us
29:47and admit that we were and are the people of God
29:50and repent of their persecutions of us.
29:54So that's part of the works of the Lord, isn't it?
29:57That the Lord is going to subdue our enemies under us.
30:01Good comment there, Mark,
30:03and thanks for drawing our attention back to yesterday's study.
30:05Psalm 110 and verse 1.
30:08All right, any other comments?
30:09Please come now.
30:11Comment?
30:12KK70Q.
30:14Ted, KK70Q, go ahead.
30:17Yes, I like what Juan Carlos shared there.
30:22Yeah, I was reading a book
30:25and listening to something,
30:28and there's a book called
30:29Christ the Eternal Tao
30:31by Father Damascene.
30:35And basically,
30:38God is a mind,
30:41all mind,
30:43and also He has a spirit,
30:47and also He has a body.
30:50So, yes,
30:51there are three persons,
30:54and we're made in the image of God.
30:57So,
30:58we have mind,
31:00and we have spirit,
31:01and we have a body.
31:04We're spiritual beings,
31:05and physical beings,
31:07you know,
31:08on a physical plane,
31:09yet there is a spiritual.
31:11And then also,
31:12we have intelligence,
31:14and mind,
31:16and reason,
31:17logos,
31:18where the word logos come from.
31:20So,
31:20I find that very interesting.
31:22The Greeks and the Taoists
31:24were very much on the same page
31:27at the same time
31:28without communication,
31:30and even amongst the Buddhists.
31:33You know,
31:34they're kind of,
31:34they're saying the same thing
31:36in a different way.
31:40Yet this is before
31:40the full revelation
31:42of Jesus Christ,
31:44yet with what they did have,
31:47yeah,
31:49it's amazing
31:50that they were all
31:51on the same page,
31:53and they,
31:53the Greeks,
31:54the Buddhists,
31:55the Taoists,
31:56and they are all pointing
31:57towards the logos.
32:00So,
32:00wow,
32:01wow,
32:01that's just amazing.
32:04The word logos
32:05have been created
32:06all creation.
32:08KK,
32:087-0-KK,
32:09back to you.
32:11Yeah,
32:12that's an interesting
32:13perspective.
32:14You know,
32:16the Taoists
32:18and the Buddhists
32:18certainly don't worship
32:19the God of the Bible.
32:21Because they're made
32:22in the image of God,
32:24they do have
32:25some understanding
32:26of God
32:27from the creation.
32:28They also have
32:29some understanding
32:30of God
32:31because they're made
32:32in the image of God,
32:33as it says
32:33in Romans 1,
32:34that which may be
32:35known of God
32:36is manifest
32:37in them,
32:38for God has shown
32:39it unto them.
32:40They have the law
32:41of God written
32:41in their hearts,
32:42Roman 2,
32:43so that they know
32:44right from wrong.
32:45And they recognize
32:46that certainly
32:47there is a God.
32:48Their definition
32:49of God
32:49is completely
32:50unbiblical.
32:52And that's the reason
32:53why Paul on Mars Hill
32:54in Acts 17
32:55said,
32:56you know,
32:57you worship
32:58all these different gods,
32:59and he says
33:00you have an altar
33:01here to the unknown God.
33:02in him
33:04that you
33:04ignorantly worship,
33:06I declare unto you.
33:08So,
33:08Paul was declaring
33:10that all these
33:10false religions
33:11have a ton of ignorance.
33:13All of that ignorance
33:15will lead them
33:16away from God
33:17and not toward God
33:18without the gospel.
33:20No one can come
33:21to God.
33:23And yet,
33:24because men
33:26are made
33:26in the image of God
33:27and because they're
33:28surrounded by the creation
33:29of God
33:30and because they have
33:31a conscience,
33:33the moral law of God
33:34written on their hearts,
33:36they do have
33:36some right ideas.
33:39But because of depravity
33:41and darkness
33:41and sin,
33:43they tend to twist
33:45the legitimate information
33:47they do have
33:48from creation
33:49and conscience
33:50into worshiping
33:52a false god.
33:54God.
33:55So,
33:55as far as God,
33:57the Father
33:58doesn't have a body,
33:59the Spirit
33:59doesn't have a body,
34:01but the Son does
34:02through the incarnation.
34:04And we know
34:04in His resurrection
34:05He still has that body.
34:06So,
34:06we get to heaven,
34:08the Father
34:08will be there,
34:10the Spirit
34:10will be there,
34:11and the Son
34:11will be there,
34:12all three persons
34:13and one God.
34:14And the Son
34:15will still have
34:16His body.
34:17The Father
34:17and the Spirit,
34:18of course,
34:18have never had a body,
34:20they never will
34:21have a body.
34:22And so,
34:23God is a spirit,
34:24it says in John 4,
34:26and they that worship Him
34:27therefore must worship Him
34:28in spirit and in truth.
34:30So,
34:30you know,
34:31it's interesting,
34:32Ted,
34:32as you look at
34:32these other religions,
34:34you know,
34:35we can find
34:36some truth
34:37in them
34:38when we
34:39compare them
34:40with Christianity,
34:41but the truth
34:42is minimal,
34:43it's at the edges,
34:45and a lot of it
34:46has been twisted
34:47by human depravity
34:48and darkness.
34:49because ultimately,
34:53you know,
34:53the carnal mind
34:54is enmity against God,
34:55it's not subject
34:56to the law of God,
34:57neither indeed
34:57can it be.
34:59So they that are
34:59in the flesh
35:00cannot please God.
35:02So,
35:03there's nothing
35:03in Buddhism
35:04or Taoism
35:04that pleases God,
35:06even though there
35:06may be some
35:07element of truth
35:08in them,
35:10it's not certainly
35:11sufficient for them
35:13to find God
35:14or to have
35:14a relationship
35:15with God.
35:16Ted,
35:17thanks for that
35:17perspective.
35:18KK70QQ,
35:20appreciate that.
35:21All right,
35:21any other comments
35:22on our passage?
35:23Please come now.
35:32All right,
35:32Danette would like
35:33to acknowledge
35:33Gene K7GWR.
35:35Good morning,
35:35Gene.
35:36See you there
35:36on the Utah SDR.
35:37I know you've been
35:38there a while.
35:38Appreciate you being there.
35:40Okay,
35:41any other comments
35:41on our passage?
35:42Psalm 111,
35:43please come now
35:44with your call sign.
35:44Thank you.
35:48Well,
36:03there's a huge
36:04contrast here
36:05between the works
36:06of the Lord
36:06and the works
36:06of men,
36:07isn't there?
36:08When you look
36:08at verse 2,
36:09the works
36:09of the Lord
36:09are great,
36:11sought out
36:12of all them
36:12that have
36:12pleasure therein.
36:14Verse 3,
36:15his work
36:15is honorable
36:16and glorious.
36:18His righteousness
36:19endures forever.
36:21Verse 4,
36:22his works
36:22are wonderful,
36:24gracious,
36:25and full
36:26of compassion.
36:27And he goes
36:27on here
36:28and he uses
36:28all these adjectives
36:30to describe
36:30the work
36:31of God.
36:32And we see
36:33that God
36:34does all things
36:34well.
36:35There is no work
36:37that God does
36:37that we look at
36:38and go,
36:38ah,
36:39you know,
36:39that could have
36:39been done better.
36:41No,
36:42all of his works
36:43stand at the pinnacle
36:45of the very best
36:46that could have
36:47possibly been done
36:48or thought
36:49or planned
36:50or carried out.
36:52And so,
36:53when we see
36:53how God's
36:54dealt with us,
36:55he's dealt
36:56with us
36:56with righteousness.
36:58He's dealt
36:59with us
36:59with grace.
37:01He's dealt
37:01with us
37:01with compassion.
37:03He's even
37:04fed us.
37:05Verse 5,
37:06he's given
37:07food
37:07to those
37:09who fear him.
37:10And so,
37:11as we look
37:12at the works
37:12of the Lord,
37:13there's endless
37:14provocations
37:15to praise
37:17the Lord.
37:18So,
37:19just go
37:20through these
37:21adjectives,
37:22these descriptive
37:22phrases
37:23of the work
37:25that God
37:25has done
37:26and we
37:26stand amazed
37:27and worshipful
37:29and thankful
37:30and humbled
37:32at what God
37:33has done
37:34on our behalf.
37:35All right,
37:35any other comments
37:36on our passage,
37:37please come now.
37:38WB7VZL.
37:43Roger,
37:43please go ahead.
37:45We probably
37:45touched on this,
37:47this wonderful
37:49phrase in verse 4,
37:52the Lord is
37:53gracious
37:53and compassionate
37:55and in all
37:57but what's
37:58the first half
37:59of how God
38:01likes to be
38:01described,
38:02his character,
38:04his character
38:05is often described
38:06that we touched
38:07on the complete
38:08description
38:09on Psalm 103
38:11when we covered
38:12that.
38:13The Lord is
38:14compassionate
38:15and gracious
38:16and then this
38:17is the part
38:17that is more
38:19of the fullness
38:19of numbers
38:20in Exodus 34.
38:23The Lord is
38:24compassionate
38:24and gracious,
38:26slow to anger
38:27and abounding
38:28in loving kindness.
38:31So,
38:32that,
38:32of course,
38:32was a trigger
38:33when I read
38:34this Psalm.
38:34I said,
38:35oh,
38:35we've been
38:36there before
38:36highlighting the
38:38character of
38:38our great God.
38:39Over.
38:40Yeah,
38:41amen.
38:41Well said,
38:42Roger.
38:42And,
38:43you know,
38:43as you go
38:43through this list
38:44and you just
38:45underline the
38:47adjectives that
38:48are used here
38:49to describe,
38:50you know,
38:51the works of
38:52the Lord are
38:53great.
38:54There's an
38:55adjective.
38:56And then it
38:57says in verse,
38:58that's in verse 2,
38:59right?
39:00And then in verse 3,
39:01his works are
39:01honorable and glorious.
39:03Well,
39:04there's another
39:04adjective.
39:06And then verse 4,
39:08they're memorable.
39:09He made his
39:09wonderful works
39:10to be remembered,
39:11right?
39:12You remember
39:13things that are
39:13really significant
39:15and important.
39:17And then his work
39:18is faithful.
39:21God always
39:22keeps his promises.
39:25And that has to
39:26do with his
39:27covenants,
39:27right?
39:28He never violates
39:29his covenant
39:29promises.
39:30And then his
39:31works are
39:32powerful.
39:34Verse 6,
39:35he showed the
39:36people the
39:36power of his
39:37works.
39:38And then his
39:39works are
39:40righteous.
39:42Verse 7,
39:43they're truthful
39:44and they
39:45exercise justice.
39:48And then
39:48they're eternal.
39:50Verse 8,
39:50they stand fast
39:51forever and
39:52ever.
39:53And then
39:53they're redemptive.
39:54His works are
39:55redemptive.
39:56Verse 9,
39:57he sent
39:57redemption to
39:58his people.
40:00And so,
40:00you know,
40:01what we have
40:01here is the
40:03psalmist describing
40:05the work of
40:06God with all
40:08of these
40:08adjectives.
40:09They're great,
40:10they're honorable
40:11and glorious,
40:12they're memorable,
40:13they're faithful,
40:14they're powerful,
40:15they're righteous,
40:16they're eternal,
40:16they're redemptive.
40:18And if God is
40:20known by his
40:21work, then what
40:22does work tell
40:23us?
40:24And that he is
40:25to be infinitely
40:27exalted and
40:28praised for all
40:29of these works
40:30he has done.
40:31And so you
40:32can see the
40:33enthusiasm in
40:34verse 1,
40:35I will praise
40:36the Lord with
40:37my whole heart,
40:38that is provoked
40:39by all of the
40:41works that God
40:42has done and
40:43the characteristics
40:44and the nature
40:45of those works.
40:48And so that's
40:49one reason why
40:50it's really
40:50important for us
40:51to read our
40:52Bibles, to
40:52reflect on the
40:53works of God
40:54and what he's
40:55done, and
40:56then cause
40:58that to stir
40:59up a heart
41:00of praise in
41:02our mouths, so
41:03that we want
41:03to just give
41:04him glory for
41:06the work he
41:06has done in
41:08creation.
41:09I mean, isn't
41:10that amazing?
41:11And then in
41:12providence, how
41:13he works
41:14everything out
41:14through the
41:15centuries to
41:16bring to pass
41:16his purposes.
41:18And then, of
41:18course, his
41:19greatest work,
41:20which is
41:20redemption, right?
41:22He saved us
41:23from our sins.
41:24He redeemed
41:25us out of
41:26the hand of
41:26Satan, and
41:28he's given us
41:29eternal life.
41:30He's adopted
41:30us as his
41:31children.
41:32He's taking
41:32us to heaven.
41:34Man, there's
41:36endless grounds
41:37for praise as
41:38we look at his
41:39creation, as we
41:40look at his
41:41providence, and
41:42as we look at
41:43his redemption.
41:43So, you
41:46know, Mike
41:47brought out
41:48the fact that
41:49this is all
41:51about God, and
41:53it was a great
41:54observation.
41:56And so, when
41:57we realize who
41:58God is, what
41:59God has done,
42:00the fact that
42:01God is actively
42:02working, this
42:03psalm describes
42:04those works,
42:05what else would
42:07we do but
42:08break out into
42:09praise and
42:10thanksgiving to
42:11God for what
42:11he has done?
42:12All right, any
42:13other comments?
42:14Please come
42:14now.
42:18WB7, Vizadell.
42:19Roger, please
42:20go ahead.
42:21Well, reading
42:22this psalm this
42:24morning, I'm, I
42:27was, you know,
42:28after I looked
42:29at the full
42:30expression in
42:32Psalm 103 that
42:33he takes from
42:34Exodus 34, I,
42:38looking at
42:40103, I can see
42:41where Isaiah
42:42got his renewed
42:44like the eagle
42:45in verse 5 of
42:47103, so that
42:49our youth is
42:50renewed like the
42:52eagle, Isaiah's
42:53favorite passage
42:56that has been
42:57written down.
42:58Anyway, that's
42:59not, I just was
43:00pondering those
43:01associations and
43:03saw where Isaiah
43:04picked up on his
43:06most famous verse
43:08probably in
43:09Isaiah, over.
43:11Yeah, copy that.
43:12Roger's talking
43:12about Psalm 103
43:13in verse 5, who
43:15satisfies thy
43:16mouth with good
43:16things so that
43:17youth is renewed
43:18like the eagles,
43:18and then, of course,
43:20that's a reference
43:20to Isaiah 40 in
43:22verse 31, they
43:24that wait on the
43:24Lord shall renew
43:25their strength, they
43:26shall mount up with
43:27wings as eagles,
43:28they shall run and
43:29not be weary, they
43:30shall walk and
43:31shall not faint.
43:32So, yeah, we see
43:34these themes being
43:35picked up by
43:36different authors
43:37at different
43:38periods of history
43:39that are all the
43:43result of divine
43:44inspiration, and
43:46how they tie these
43:47books together so
43:48that there's just
43:49one book with
43:51one theme and
43:53one set of
43:53theology, of
43:55theological beliefs
43:56and teachings that
43:57are consistent all
43:58throughout the
43:59scriptures.
44:00And so what we
44:01see God doing
44:02here is giving
44:04his people the
44:06resources they
44:08need, the strength
44:09they need in order
44:10to be able to
44:11carry on and
44:13carry out the
44:14work and not
44:15grow weary in
44:16that work.
44:18So, praise the
44:19Lord.
44:20All of this, as
44:22Mark KJ7 TVT
44:23said, should bring
44:24us to fear the
44:26Lord and to
44:28obey the Lord
44:29and to praise the
44:30Lord.
44:30You see those
44:31three things in
44:32verse 10, right?
44:33The fear of the
44:34Lord is the
44:34beginning of
44:35wisdom, a good
44:36understanding of
44:38all they who do
44:38his commandments,
44:39his praise endures
44:40forever.
44:41So, when we
44:43study the works of
44:44the Lord, it
44:45gives us wisdom,
44:46it gives us the
44:47fear of God, it
44:48gives us an
44:48understanding and
44:50a desire to do
44:51his commandments and
44:52to issue his
44:53praise.
44:54All right, any
44:55other comments?
44:56Please come
44:56know.
44:57Five Yankee?
44:59Five Yankee.
45:00Yeah, I just
45:01wanted to throw
45:02out there, my
45:03favorite one in
45:04verse 9 is
45:06Holy and
45:07Awesome is His
45:08Name, and it
45:09brings to mind one
45:10of my favorite
45:11songs, which is
45:12Our God is an
45:13Awesome God.
45:14Yeah, amen, our
45:17God is an
45:17awesome God.
45:18And, you know,
45:19that word is
45:19thrown around and
45:21cheapened sometimes
45:22when people apply
45:23it to something
45:24other than God.
45:26You know, only
45:27God is truly
45:28awesome, and that
45:30word means to be
45:32struck with awe
45:33or amazement
45:35at what God
45:38has done.
45:39And so, yes, the
45:41works of the
45:42Lord are
45:43awesome.
45:44That is, they
45:45strike awe into
45:46our hearts and
45:47strike us
45:48speechless and
45:49amazed and
45:51filled with
45:52praise and
45:53wonder at what
45:55God has done.
45:56So, yes, that
45:58hymn really
45:59lifts up God,
46:00rightly so, and
46:02I appreciate you
46:03pointing that
46:03out.
46:04Okay, any
46:05other comments?
46:07Please come
46:07know.
46:12All right, I
46:18just got a text
46:18message from
46:19Keith, K7NED.
46:22He said, our
46:24neighbor's niece
46:25has four daughters
46:26in the school in
46:27Bend.
46:28They're all safe,
46:29but obviously very
46:31shook up.
46:32So that event in
46:34Bend that we're
46:34going to be praying
46:35about today, in our
46:37prayer time, struck
46:38really close to one
46:39of the members of
46:40our net, Keith
46:43K7NEB.
46:45All right, thank
46:46you for that,
46:46Keith.
46:48Let's see.
46:50All right, I
46:51think we're about
46:51out of time.
46:52Yeah, it's time to
46:53go to prayer.
46:54Are there any
46:54final prayer requests
46:55before we go to
46:56prayer?
46:56Please come down
46:57with your call
46:57sign.
46:58All right, well,
47:06Psalm 111 is a
47:07great psalm, and
47:08let's reflect on the
47:10works of the Lord
47:11as we reflect on
47:12that psalm.
47:13Let's pray together.
47:14Father, thank you
47:15so much for giving
47:16us your holy word.
47:18Thank you for the
47:18way it reveals you
47:20and your works to
47:23us.
47:24Father, the
47:25scripture says,
47:26can a man by
47:27searching find out
47:28God?
47:29And the answer is
47:30no.
47:31We see people
47:31feeling around after
47:33God, coming to
47:35lots of wrong
47:36conclusions about
47:37God, and we
47:40only find God as
47:41we find him
47:42revealed in the
47:44scriptures, in the
47:45Bible.
47:46There, we have a
47:47full and clear
47:49picture of who you
47:50are and of the
47:52works that you
47:52have done.
47:53and Father, as
47:55your works reveal
47:56your character and
47:57your nature, your
47:58attributes, Lord, we
48:00just lift you up in
48:01praise, and we thank
48:03you, Father, that you
48:04have given us this
48:05revelation that clears
48:07away the darkness
48:09that so surrounds us
48:11as we grope after
48:13what God must be like
48:16or could be like or
48:17we think he should be
48:19like.
48:20Lord, the scriptures
48:21tell us what you
48:23are like, and thank
48:25you, Lord, that you're
48:26not like us, and
48:28therefore, human minds
48:29cannot properly form
48:31conceptions of God.
48:34We need to form our
48:36conceptions of God from
48:37the scriptures alone,
48:40and Lord, we thank you
48:41that through them we
48:43can see clearly who
48:45God is and what God
48:47has done.
48:47Thank you, Father, for
48:48being who you are.
48:50Thank you for the
48:51wonderful works you
48:52have done, for your
48:53greatness, and your
48:56faithfulness, and your
48:57power, and your
48:59righteousness, and
49:00especially, Lord, for
49:01your redemptive work.
49:03And now, Lord, we
49:04bring before you our
49:05needs.
49:07Lord, we have a bunch
49:08of them.
49:08First and foremost,
49:10Father, as Mike in
49:127GND asked us to
49:14pray, we pray, Lord,
49:16for those who were
49:18affected by the tragic
49:20school shooting at
49:21Silver Rail Elementary
49:24School in Bend, Oregon,
49:26yesterday.
49:27Father, we just pray that
49:29you would bring peace
49:30and comfort to those
49:34families who lost
49:35children and loved ones.
49:37Father, we understand
49:39that there was a
49:39teacher that was also
49:40killed as well as
49:41several children.
49:44Lord, these kind of
49:46tragedies just break
49:47our hearts.
49:48And, Lord, are a
49:49manifestation of the
49:50depth and degree of
49:51human depravity that
49:53exists.
49:54And the reason why the
49:56Sixth Commandment has
49:57been given, thou shalt
49:58not kill, because there's
49:59murder in the heart of
50:01fallen humans.
50:03And, Lord, we just pray
50:04that you would restrain
50:05these murderous outbursts
50:06members, and that
50:08anyone would think that
50:10using a gun to harm
50:12other people who are
50:13innocent would ever be
50:15an appropriate course of
50:17action to take.
50:19Father, we just pray that
50:20you would surround these
50:23families and this school
50:24and these people with your
50:26compassion and your love
50:28and your mercy.
50:30And, Lord, we just pray
50:31that there would be no
50:32more of these events
50:34taking place in our
50:35nation where schools
50:37are attacked and
50:39innocent people are
50:40attacked with guns or
50:42clubs or knives or
50:44fists or feet or
50:45firearms.
50:46Whatever the instrument
50:46is, Father, we
50:47recognize the evil is in
50:49the human heart that
50:50wielded that instrument.
50:53And, Lord, we pray
50:54that you would bring
50:55salvation to people
50:58who, Father, are
50:59struggling with anger
51:01and outrage over
51:03whatever their
51:05perceived issues
51:07are.
51:08Lord, have mercy.
51:10Have mercy, we pray,
51:11on these families.
51:14Lord, we just want to
51:15also pray for our dear
51:17brother Charles in
51:187D, Ian, who lost
51:19his son Trevor to
51:21cancer on Sunday.
51:23Lord, we pray for
51:24peace and comfort for
51:26his family as well.
51:27Lord, thank you that
51:29Trevor knew you, and
51:30thank you that he's in
51:31heaven with you.
51:32And, Lord, Charles and
51:34his family are sorrowing,
51:36but not as those who
51:37have no hope.
51:38And, Lord, I just pray
51:39that you would give
51:40hope and encouragement
51:42to Charles and his
51:44family.
51:45And, Lord, I pray that
51:46the confidence that
51:48one day they will see
51:50Trevor again would
51:52assuage their grief.
51:53Help them to be
51:54thankful for the years
51:55they had and not
51:57grieve over the years
51:58that they did.
51:59Lord, I just pray that
52:01you would cause the
52:03promises of Scripture
52:04to flood into the
52:07minds and the hearts
52:08of those who have
52:09lost loved ones, and
52:10may they be a sort of
52:12comfort to them.
52:14Father, we just want
52:15to continue to pray for
52:16Ted KK70QQ, his
52:18sister Pamela, who is
52:20suffering with acid
52:21reflux and coughing
52:23fits.
52:24Lord, I pray that you
52:25would bring a remedy
52:26for her condition.
52:28And, Lord, I pray that
52:29there would be a
52:29medical cure.
52:31Lord, if not, then
52:32just work a miraculous
52:33cure.
52:34Father, we are happy
52:36to see you work your
52:37mighty power in Ted's
52:41sister Pamela.
52:42And, Lord, have mercy
52:43on her, we ask.
52:45Father, we pray for
52:46Carol KK7TPO.
52:49Lord, she's asked us to
52:51pray for little
52:51Juliana, the newborn
52:53baby that was born in
52:5423 weeks.
52:56Lord, I pray that the
52:57doctors have wisdom in
52:59caring for her and
52:59bringing her to
53:00maturity.
53:01Lord, I pray that she
53:03would, excuse me, just
53:04a minute.
53:08Lord, I pray that you
53:09would just give that
53:10little baby strength and
53:11raise her up.
53:13And, Father, may she be
53:14healthy and know no
53:15long-term health effects
53:17from being born premature.
53:20Lord, I just want to
53:21continue to pray for
53:21Dave, EI7QQ.
53:23Lord, we just thank you
53:25that his meeting with
53:26his daughter yesterday
53:27went really well and
53:29that you healed that
53:30relationship.
53:31Lord, we're grateful for
53:31that.
53:32Lord, we just want to
53:33continue to pray for
53:34Noah, this young man
53:36that Dave led to Christ
53:37and is now out of
53:38prison, helping to make
53:39good choices, give him
53:40a job.
53:41And, Lord, help him to
53:43continue to go to
53:44church.
53:44Thank you for his
53:45profession of faith in
53:46Christ.
53:46May it be genuine and
53:47real and strong.
53:49And, Father, may it
53:50define all the rest of
53:52his life.
53:54Father, we just want to
53:55pray for Rochelle as she
53:57continues to receive
53:59chemo treatment and
54:01radiation starting
54:02October 22nd.
54:03Lord, I pray that you
54:05would heal her of her
54:05cancer, give Jerry
54:07special strength and
54:08wisdom today as he does
54:09his work.
54:10And, Lord, I pray that
54:11Rochelle would be able
54:13to return back to work,
54:15healthy and strong, to
54:16help Jerry with his
54:17responsibilities.
54:19Lord, we continue to
54:20pray for Ed's brother-in-law
54:22who still has heart
54:24arrhythmia and is still
54:26waiting on news about
54:28the house that he's put
54:29the offer in on as they
54:31try to certify that
54:33well.
54:34Lord, I pray that you'd
54:35provide him with a house
54:36and provide him with
54:37medical treatment for his
54:38heart arrhythmia.
54:40Lord, we continue to pray
54:41for Laura, KD7RID.
54:43Gene, K7GWR, ask us to
54:46pray for her.
54:47He's having health
54:48complications from the
54:49pacemaker implant.
54:51Lord, we understand that
54:53she recently had a setback.
54:55Lord, we pray that she
54:56would be pleased to heal
54:57her, strengthen her, and
54:59deliver her from these
55:00health complications.
55:02Father, we just want to
55:03continue to pray for our
55:04brother Beck, Alpha Alpha
55:055 Yankee.
55:07Lord, you are indeed an
55:08awesome God, as he said.
55:10Father, may you manifest
55:12that awesomeness by healing
55:14Beck's eyesight.
55:16Lord, we pray that he
55:19would be relieved of this
55:20double vision.
55:21Lord, thank you for
55:22improving his hearing
55:24with the hearing aids.
55:25And Lord, we pray for
55:26their neighbor, Nancy, who
55:28needs healing from cancer
55:29and salvation.
55:30Father, give her that
55:31double healing of her
55:32soul and also of her
55:34body.
55:35Lord, we pray that you
55:36would be with Kathleen
55:37Vaughn and help her to
55:38walk well and fully
55:40recover from her neck
55:41surgery.
55:42And Lord, we pray for
55:43Jan Brookhart, who is a
55:45diabetic and had some of
55:47her foot removed, to help
55:48her to learn to walk
55:49well.
55:50And may her husband, Ken,
55:52get his heart arrhythmia
55:54back in proper sinus
55:58rhythm.
55:59Lord, we just pray for
56:01Mike at K7RSV, that his
56:03wife, Liz, who's fighting
56:04cancer, would know
56:06deliverance from it.
56:08Father, I don't know where
56:09she's at in that process,
56:11but Lord, be pleased to
56:12heal Liz.
56:13And may Liz and Mike draw
56:16near to each other and
56:17derive comfort from you
56:19and your word as they go
56:20through this battle
56:21together.
56:22Lord, we just thank you
56:24that Will KM5F is done
56:25with his radiation.
56:27Lord, we just pray that as
56:29he goes to see the doctor
56:30a month from now, the
56:31report he gets will be that
56:33this is done and over with
56:35and gone.
56:37Lord, just pray that you
56:38would heal Will completely
56:40of his cancer.
56:42Continue to pray for Jeff,
56:43AK6OK, and all the
56:45Bibles that are going
56:46out.
56:47Father, give those
56:47chaplains wisdom as they
56:49counsel the soldiers.
56:51May they lead many of
56:52them to faith in Christ.
56:54And Lord, may those
56:55Bibles be used for
56:56salvation and

57:40that he's feeling a
57:41little better, even
57:41though his numbers are
57:42still very poor.
57:44Thank you that he was
57:45able to be in church.
57:46And Lord, I pray that
57:47you would continue to
57:48raise him up and heal
57:49him so he can return to
57:50the pulpit.

57:53KS7TRF, his uncle

58:00be there a long time
58:02longer.
58:03So Lord, heal this brain
58:04infection, and Lord, I
58:06pray that Doug would

58:46And Lord, we pray that
58:48you would restore her
58:48sight.
58:49Even though the doctor
58:50said her retina was
58:52pretty well shot, Lord,
58:53she's seeing something
58:54out of it.
58:56And Lord, we pray for

59:34Lord, pray that she would
59:35be able to have good
59:36balance and not know the
59:38vertigo that comes from
59:40time to time.
59:41Deliver her from that.
59:43Lord, we pray for Jeff's
59:44niece, Haley.

60:23would protect little Alice
60:24from any harmful
60:26influences.
60:27We pray, Lord, that you
60:28would bring her to the
60:30knowledge of the gospel
60:31and salvation through
60:32faith in Jesus.
60:34And Lord, we pray that
60:35she would grow up to be a
60:36woman of God.
60:38And Lord, just shield her
60:40from Satan and the world
60:41and from wicked people.
60:44Lord, we just thank you
60:46for your goodness and your

60:53Father, may we love him,

61:00go through this day
61:01together.
61:02Father, we ask it in
61:03Jesus' name.
61:04Amen.
61:05All right, this is WB7MX,
61:07Net Control for the
61:08West Coast Bible Study.
61:09I want to thank all the
61:10stations who checked in
61:11today, as well as those
61:12who stood by to give us
61:14a clear operating frequency.
61:16We meet here seven days a
61:17week at 6 a.m. in order
61:18to read the scriptures,
61:20understand their meaning,
61:21message, and application,
61:23and then pray for grace
61:24and mercy to be able to
61:25live out what we learned
61:27and for God to meet the
61:28needs of those that are in
61:29our circle of fellowship.
61:32I'll be returning this
61:33frequency now to regular
61:34amateur use.
61:35This is WB7MX.
61:37I'll be clear and standing
61:38by.
61:39I think Will may have an
61:41ad.
61:43Will, KM5F, please go ahead.
61:46Well, you included what I
61:48was going to say, but that's
61:49okay, but I'd like to thank
61:51everybody that has been
61:52praying for me.
61:53I thought I'd wait until the
61:54end when everybody was on,
61:56but I just praise the Lord
61:59for all the prayers that were
62:01lifted up for me.
62:02In Jesus' name we pray.
62:04Amen.
62:05KM5F.
62:06Amen, Will.
62:07Yeah, glad to pray for you.
62:08It's a privilege and an honor
62:09to link arms with you and to
62:11lift you up before the Lord.
62:13And we just continue to pray
62:14now for a good outcome, now
62:16that the treatments are all
62:17over with, and that you'll be
62:19cancer-free.
62:20I love you, Will, and appreciate
62:22you being there, and appreciate
62:24your faithfulness to Christ.
62:26All right.
62:27Any other comments anybody
62:29wants to make, throw out your
62:30call sign.
62:31I'll recognize you.
62:32Beck, I want to thank you for
62:41that relay.
62:41Much appreciated.
62:43All right.
62:43Any other comments, please
62:44come down with your call sign.
62:47Beck, with the joke of the day.
62:49Go ahead there, Beck.
62:51Hopefully this will be my
62:52lightener spirits.
62:54How do you make a waterbed
62:56bouncier?
62:59How do you make a waterbed
63:01bouncier?
63:02You know, I used to have a
63:03waterbed, slept on it for
63:05years.
63:07How do you make it bouncier?
63:10Wow.
63:11I don't know.
63:12Anybody else want to take a
63:14stab at that?
63:14Go ahead.
63:22Okay.
63:23You add spring water.
63:24You add spring water to the
63:30waterbed, that makes it
63:31bouncier.
63:32That's good, Beck.
63:33Yeah.
63:34You know, part of the problem
63:36was burping those things,
63:37getting all the air out of
63:38them, because if you didn't
63:39get the air out, they sloshed.
63:42So that was always interesting,
63:43using the broom handle to hurt
63:45all the air bubbles to the
63:47opening.
63:48And then getting the right
63:49amount of water in it so that
63:51it had the right firmness.
63:52The one thing, nice thing
63:54about a waterbed, it was
63:55always warm.
63:57And so you had a heater
63:59there.
64:00Yeah, good memories there,
64:01Beck.
64:02Those were all the rage back
64:03in the day over.
64:05Yeah, Roger, what I liked
64:06about it, it was nice that it
64:08was warm in the winter, but
64:09what I really liked about it
64:10was when it was 90 degrees
64:12outside at night, it was
64:14nice and cold.
64:18Yeah, copy that, copy that.
64:19I see Dan, N6T and I.
64:22I don't think I ever
64:23checked Dan in.
64:24Good morning, Dan.
64:25See you there on the Utah
64:26SDR.
64:27Sorry about not getting to
64:29you sooner.
64:30I was just looking at this
64:31while Beck was talking.
64:32But yeah, Beck, you know,
64:35one of the problems with
64:36those things is that if they
64:37went to leaking, you had
64:38quite the flood, because there
64:40was a lot of water, several
64:42hundred gallons.
64:43So eventually we decided to
64:46do away with that.
64:47Over.
64:48Yeah, Roger.
64:49Right.
64:49My.
64:49Thank you.
64:50My.
64:50My.
64:55My.
64:55My.
64:55My.
64:55My.
64:56My.
64:56My.
64:57My.
64:57My.
64:57My.
64:58My.
65:02My.
